Video Premiere: “Foreign Language” by Flight Facilities

1

How come none of the other blogs caught this, one of the best songs of the year got the video treatment and only a few people viewed it! This is a grower as we said before, the album must be stellar! Sydney duo Flight Facilities have their brand new single “Foreign Language feat. Jess” out now on iTunes. Flight Facilities very first solo track “Crave You” took everyone by surprise; 2 Sydney DJ / producers that cut their teeth with cult party remixes, created what became arguably the best pop track of 2010 and we think it’s pretty safe to say that “Foreign Language feat. Jess” has all the right ingredients for another timeless summer anthem.

Sexy Track: “Ouch That Hurt” by Dionne Bromfield

1

Many people think that Dione Bromfield is a product of Amy Winehouse‘s imagination. But, that is not the least true. With the rate she is going, she could easily be one of the biggest stars of the decade. Here we see Dionne Bromfield trying to continue the legacy of a genre that died too early, like Jackswing. If there was a natural continuation of Motown, it would be Dionne Bromfield’s Good To The Soul. One this song specially, Bromfield brings the traditional beats with a modern mentality with coquettish lyrics. It brings back puppy love like no other and makes you feel all warm and loved-up inside. This should be the next single!

Sexy Track: “Yeah Right” by Dionne Bromfield

1

Leave it to Amy Winehouse’s protegé to do what all of Prince’s protegé’s couldn’t – get past being a one hit wonder. We Dionne Bromfield was introduced to us she did the Motown classics to show us what she is capable of and it was very easy to digest. Now, she’s out on her own limb and doing original music. This single from her sophomore album Good For The Soul is just that – good for the soul. Not forgetting the Motown element, these tracks have modern sensibility with a Soul Train attitude. It can be a great radio tune if given the time, but it can also make you get up and shake it.

3

Zahed Sultan has debuted his second video for the single “I Want Her But I Don’t Want Her” from his album Hi Fear, Lo Love, which is available on iTunes right now. In his second music video “I Want Her But I Don’t Want Her,” Zahed delves deeper into his creative psyche to explore a dark fantastical world where art meets life. Shot in High Definition and layered with animated sketches, Zahed playfully grooves on screen to a sound that is uniquely his own.

Just when you though “Judas” was simmering down, Lady Gaga hits your with another one. Her new somewhat impromptu single “The Edge Of Glory” has managed to land on the #1 spot in the span of one day. That’s all took for Gaga to prove everyone wrong. Although we don’t think it’s that strong of a song, we thing it can grow.

Sexy Track: “Are You Leaving” by Erik Hassle

1

Erik Hassle is no stranger to sexy tracks. If this buzz single is a snippet of what we are getting for his second album, then it’s going to be a great year! Here, Erik Hassle does what he does best, merging school-house rock with lyrics of longing. Much like our favorite “Wanna Be Loved,” Hassle manages to emulate true emotions of love and attachment whilst being a rock star. This song has the power to get you up out of your seat to play air guitar and it has the power to make you cry. It’s a lovely confection.

RuPaul’s album “Glamazon” has been released ahead of time!

1

Checking up on RuPaul today proved fruitful! Today is the day that the third season of her reality series RuPaul’s Drag Race airs its finales. The album is set to drop around the same time because RuPaul usually films her newest video on that episode. It looks like the slower “Superstar” is getting the video treatment this time, although we prefer the title track. At any rate, the album is now on iTunes, which comes as a surprise as many blogs are reporting that it had a May 3rd release date. iTunes could have done that by mistake as they allegedly have done with other independent artists like Ani DiFranco. Well, it’s downloading now and the review is pending!

Lofty Prediction: Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls)” will take off when the video lands!

1

This is an obvious one. Still, many people are surprised that the new Beyonce single “Run The World (Girls)” hasn’t catapulted itself into the number one spot on iTunes. It’s currently sitting at a measly number 24 on the chart. Still, who thought that “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” would amount to anything? Imagine the song without the video? As beyonce would say: “This is a disaster!” Wait for the video and watch.
