Rachael Yamagata is readying up third album!

1

Rachael Yamagata has been absent for a while. That’s because she is putting out a new full-length album and because she is self-releasing it. Happenstance was a great album and Elephants… Teeth Sinking Into Heart didn’t quite hit us in the right spot, but we are waiting to hear more of this damsel in distress.

Allegedly, Tori Amos’s next album is titled “Reckless Night”

4

Some unsubstantiated new has surfaced about Tori Amos’s new release. Some people are saying that the new album will be called Reckless Night, which is too mundane, but we will go with it. We know she has been working on The Light Princess musical adamantly so this weirds us out as to the time of the release. Anyway, we love anything from Tori, even if it’s alleged.

Donate $100 to Japan’s cause and get 100 songs!

1

Take the time out for a good cause and to get 100 songs all at once from the likes of greats such us Ani DiFranco and Tori Amos. This is the alternative donation. Not that other lackluster release from Lady Gaga, U2, Beyonce and Katy Perry. This one is a classic not only because it’s for charity but because many independent artists are on it.

Legendary: “Cherry Blossom Girl” by Air

1

We are on a dim melancholy musical binge. Partially because of nostalgia for trip-hop, but also we are compiling for one that lays low. At any rate, no one brushes our melancholy feathers like French Air, although they have been M.I.A. for a while now, they are duly missed.

Lady Gaga wows Japan with “Telephone” performance

1

We love the local touch in the beginning and, as much as this song and video is being played, it’s becoming a bit of a grower. “Telephone” without Beyonce sounds better to tell you the truth. The piano is better than Beyonce’s part! Anyway, it’s always nice to see what Gaga will pull out of her ass every time she performs live.
