Lira’s fourth album Return To Love delivers on so many levels. The first single is one of our favorite tracks of the season. After “Phakade” will come “When I Dance.” It’s a lovely uptempo track that ushers in summer moods. We say exclusive because she tweeted us directly. We hope there’s a great breezy video to match.
Sweet and sultry, Lira’s fourth full-lengther develops the sounds that we have gotten so used to and have grown to love. Here, you are taken to an African landscape lush with life and colors – a great soulful feel that her oeuvre is characteristic of. The video is also breathtaking and gives you an aura of serenity and warmth. This is just a lovely song that you can play on repeat forever.
“Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it,” the Burlesque star, 29, tells People in an exclusive interview. “I really didn’t want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up. When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer, and that’s the last thing I wanted for my son. He’s the kind of person you could spend hours with on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight,” she says.
Don’t know much about her, but was moved by this clip. More to come.
That’s the spirit. Doing some belly dancing on the side is always good, especially if you know how to. Sister’s strutting it!
Apparently, Madonna has crossed over the dead sea on her trip to Israel to go visit Jordan. And who was there to receive her? None other than Queen Rania herself. This would be Madonna’s second reported visit to the Arab world. Back in the early 80s’ she went to Morocco to shoot something for a French TV channel and absolutely hated it. That is documented in Christopher Ciccone’s tell-all. That’s more than a quarter of a century ago.
That’s a big number. Half a billion women are illiterate in the world. I don’t know what exactly is expected of people from the message, but I guess it’s just to get people talking.
