Official artwork, tracklisting and release date of Scissor Sisters new album “Night Work”
The Scissor Sisters are ready to grace us with their third full-length album Night Work. After a minor sophomore slump with Ta-Dah, the filthy, yet gorgeous band is back with this sleazily appropriate album cover of what looks like Jake Shear’s clenched bum. It’s not always clenched you see, so it’s a special occasion, we mean that as the highest of compliments. Really. Anyway, the album is bound to have some nasty beats and unforgettable taglines. The fist single will be “Fire With Fire” and the album will hit stores and your online mp3 website June 20th, 2010. Click below for the track listing.
New Kylie Minogue single coming out in June!
1How exciting is this news. Kylie has confirmed a new single from the eagerly awaited album to be released the same month Christina Aguilera and SiA release albums. It’s definitely not going to be a cruel summer. This is great news as we didn’t expect any new material from Kylie until the end of the year. So sexually excited!
Music For June: Homoslick
4It’s time to warm it up (with love). The compilation has finished and this is the end product. A pack of sweet, sultry, smooth, soulful and slick tracks ordered to sexify your world. This time around I went for the melting sensations. You know when the music is nice and templated and smooth and sensual. The major genres on it are soul, R’n'B and Jazz. Inspired partially by a trip to New Orleans and, also, mainstream American radio. It’s called Homoslick. Yes, you got it right. That is because it’s homogenous (in terms of genre only) and homosexual (on the weekends). And slick because it’s smooth, as I said before. I like listening to it at home, while cooking (like I know a spatula from a spoon). Anyway, I hope you enjoy the molten serving of hot chocolate.
Scouting for beats
2June’s almost here and I am doing some good old compiling. i wanted to go for a sultry R&B mix of slow jams and smooth chocolate-y sounds. But there is only a tiny demographic that will have the patience for that kind of beat. I will definitely incorporate that aspect as a section of the effort. We’ll see what’ll happen but suggestions are always welcome.
