No matter what the budget is, Will Young always manages to make a good video. We didn’t think this would be a single as we are still waiting for “Runaway” to be released and we are growing to love “Happy Now.” Oh, and also “Good Things.” Okay, we love the whole album. Still, Echoes is as fresh as the day it was released. Get it!

Sexy Track: “Diet Mountain Dew” by Lana Del Rey
There’s a lot of talk concerning Lana Del Rey performance during Saturday Night Live. Many naysayers are raising every flag they can against her artistry. Fortunately, most of those people know zilch about pop music. Alternative hipsters and mainstream junkies can sit aside and admire the allure of the 21st century pop star. No need for vocals, as demonstrated by Madonna’s lengthy career. It’s all about the visual and if the song sound delicious after the studio treatment then its good to go. You don’t believe us? Just ask Lady Gaga and Ke$ha, whom we love both (Ke$ha more than Gaga). This song demonstrates this pop culture newcomer that has already propelled herself to icon status. Just like Diet Mountain Dew, it’s sugary, fresh and ready to sell. It merges a darkened blues underlying with a light fluffy concept. This is lovely.

Video Premiere: “Next To Me” by Emeli Sande
This could go down as one of the best songs of 2012 and its only January! This is from the album Our Version Of Events, which debuts in February, is set to get a great boost of sales after the singer appeared on an episode of The Graham Norton Show which Madonna was on, too.

Lady Gaga performs “Marry The Night” on Ellen!
1First Listen: “Run (Final Version)” by Madonna
1Madonna tracks are leaking left and right. From recent sessions to older ones. But, we try not to report on any unless they are listenable. Of course, this one has nothing vocally of interest, but the song is not bad. In fact, it sounds like a riled up track from the Music era. It could have fit in perfectly on that stupid EP that followed after it. We hope this William Orbit gem ends up on the album, because even stars as big as Madonna could topple their career with two Hard Candy-like albums in a row. Click below to listen to “Run.”

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Marry The Night” by Lady Gaga
4Lady Gaga’s new 13 minute music video for “Marry The Night” – the next single from Born This Way – has leaked in full on Twitter. Unfortunately, the YouTube version is not out so we will forward you to one of our favorite blogs run by our friend. About the video, high-drama, pushing too many ideas in at once and fire. Typical.
First Listen: “Melancholy Sky” by Goldfrapp
1After their disaster last album Head First, Goldfrapp is still trying to give it another go. This is a new track from the twosome. No word yet on the status of this track – if it will end up on the new album or not. But, it will probably be one of the new tracks on their “Best Of” collection which is set for tentative release in early 2012. Click below to listen to it.
