Ashanti confirmed via twitter that she is currently in the studio working on her fifth album, that is being released off her own record label Written Entertainment. Ashanti is rumored to be working with a slew of producers and artist, thus far this is all that has been verified… LT Hutton, Dr. Dre, Game,Theron Feemster bka Neff-U, The-Dream, Cool & Dre, Warryn Campbell, Carvin & Ivan, Common, Darkchild and Tank who co-wrote and co-produced with her the song Paradise. Ashanti’s new single & album is set to be released sometime in 2011. Ashanti has also stated that she plans on releasing the album in the first quarter of 2012, with the first single being planned for a winter release. In July 2011 a promo picture was released, rap-up revealed she has been in the studio with big names including Dr. Dre, Game, and Lil Wayne, and Ashanti has said that a single is coming “very soon”. Single titles include “Paradise” and “She Can’t.”
Although the song does start sounding eerily similar to Mariah Carey’s “Can’t Let Go,” it takes a turn right after the first bars. The song is a signature Robin Thicke song. Making love is center stage to the plot of everything, but it still addresses prior dispute, which, in turn, invigorates the seduction flame. It’s a lovely cozy winter track with a great soul sensibility and an overwhelming dosage of sexy. It’s the opener to the new album and should serve as an example for the journey Thicke will take us on throughout the disc. There is no one quite like Robin Thicke right now and he’s a master at what he does.
Apparently, M.I.A. has allegedly informed all that Madonna has summoned her to come to New York City to work with her and Nicki Minaj. Some say that it will be for the single rework of “Give Me All Your Love,” which is stolen from Nicola Roberts’ “Beat Of My Drum,” if you ask us. Other says its for the remixes of the song. At any rate, we are glad that Madonna is stealing from M.I.A. because she might as well steal from greats. At any rate, we hope she doesn’t suck her soul. Click here to read more.
Who’s enthralled?
Nicki Minaj has confirmed (or insinuated in a British accent) that she is opening for Britney Spears‘ Femme Fatale tour. Good news to hear, especially after the word is out that Enrique Iglesias allegedly agreed and then turned her down. At any rate, Nicki Minaj will join the ranks of Nikka Costa, who also opened for Britney back in the day.
We don’t want to do this, but our brother coerced us into it. Still, it is his first single after hanging out in sing sing and he is ready to get back on top, apparently. Click here to listen to Lil Wayne’s new song.
Wow, just when we thought the remake of REM’s “Everybody Hurts” was huge this comes along.

Madonna’s second studio track on her tired old compilation of greatest hits Celebration has leaked in full-length. It’s called “Revolver” and it features it-boy rapper Lil’ Wayne. Oh, and it sounds like (and probably is) a Hard Candy reject. Yes, it is that bad! In fact, it’s a contender for worst song of the year. We wish they had Razzies for music. She’d be bagging a few.
This wrap-up video is very American of course, but I like the way it is out together. I only liked 2 songs of the set, but the mash-up is nicely done
