Kylie Minogue’s new album contains no ballads, for the feet

When Kylie’s press release stated that this is a return to Kylie pure dance roots, they weren’t joking. Ms. Minogue usually hides a slow number here or there on each album. This one, Aphrodite, is devoid of a single slow number. All of them are tracks to rattle your senses and make you dance to death. Yes, it’s old school Kylie with all the fun poptastic show-pony tunes. We have a feeling that this album will be  closest to Light Years, which is one of Kylie’s best. The first song did not catch our ear at first listen, but once someone mentioned that it sounded like “I Believe In You” we were hooked. It’s called Aphrodite because Kylie is the goddess of sex and love, biatches.

The video looks lush and sexual. The stills look like a standing-up version of “Slow.”
