Sting’s daughter is on her second single after her first on, a collaboration with Robyn, tanked a bit. This is neither here nor their, she needs more to get somewhere.
“Cosmic Love” is basically the first song that ever grabbed us by the ear from the album Lungs. It’s also the last single from the colossal album that ushered in a new era of female rock. This is the best kiss goodbye. It keeps us wanting more from Florence Welch and her machine.
In “Dog Days Are Over”, directed by Georgie Greville and Geremy Jasper of LEGS, and edited by Paul Snyder at Lost Planet, Florence is the shamanic leader of a surreal orchestra where spiritual elation explodes into smokey psychedelic anarchy. Florence Welch is still going strong with her album Lungs. This track, “Hurricane Drunk,” was just asking to be a single. As usual, the imagery and the fashion is up to par. This version is slightly different than the one on the album. We’ve noticed more melisma in this one.
