Margaret Cho has record an ode to rapper Lil Wayne about his incarceration. Click here to for free download up until March 20, 2010.
Margaret Cho has a couple of projects up her sleeve. She just released her 5th stand-up comedy DVD titled Beautiful and she also has a new TV show titled Drop Dead Diva coming out soon. She doing a lot of work with self-image and female objectification and we are glad she is embarking on something with a message, not that what she was doing previously wasn’t “with a message” but this time it’s more directed at a specific subject. She also has a comedy music album that will feature her parents. We can’t wait to watch both.
We can’t wait for the DVD!
These are two clips from Margaret Cho’s 5th stand-up comedy DVD titled Beautiful. It has taken a while for Margaret to put out a DVD since Assassin. And it’s her first in with democratic administration in office. So, the DVD’s going to be a little different with the usual great mixture of preachiness and laughs.
Margaret Cho is one of our icons. Her stand-up comedy is some of the best shit we’ve seen ever (and we’ve seen a whole lotta stand-up). This DVD, titled Beautiful, is set to be released november 17th and we can’t wait. It will be her 5th stand-up DVD. It’s bound to bring the chuckles for a year to come.
Here’s what Margaret Cho has to say about incident:
Miley Cyrus made some chinky eyes
Standing behind an Asian guy
I don’t know if this should fly
As if there wasn’t enough to despise
From Margaret Cho’s facebook group:
“I’ve got a new show starting at Largo, in Los Angeles, on January 27 and February 24. It’s called “Fingerbang” and it’s totally exciting and new and different. Essentially, the show format is a lot like “Hee Haw,” which was this awesome country comedy variety show from the 70s that I used to watch. It combined really stupid hick comedy with country music, with people jumping up out of cornfields to tell even cornier jokes. “Fingerbang” will be similar, but not as corny and not as country.
I’ve always like a little bit of preaching with my comedy. That’s why I cite Margaret Cho as my fave and could never understand what is so funny about Sarah Silverman. But, George Carlin takes it to a whole other level.
A classic.
I really don’t.
