As if it wasn’t enough that Ameriie changed the spelling of her name to reinvent her image with an annoying double “i,” which only works if your last name is Minogue. But, Ameriie is further jumping the shark by naming her new alvym Cymatika. Cymatics is the study of visual sound. Beautiful concept, but not when it sounds like something came out of the crypt. At any rate, let’s hope she’ll have something to show on this one unlike the previous one.

Say what?! A recent New York Times interview cites Eminem admitting that he is for gay marriage. When asked: “You’ve been accused of writing gay-bashing lyrics in the past. Would you like to see gay marriage approved in Michigan, where you live?” And he replied: “I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable, if they want.”
After what? The violence and aggression that he and his fans showed throughout the years? Are we looking for new audiences now? So, you think gay people should be killed but also have the right to marry? Queen, please!
One of our favorite artists got married to rapper Mario Treadway, known as MC Souleye on May 22. The grammy award winning Canadian singer-songwriter confirmed the news on Twitter. The couple were wed in a private ceremony with family at their L.A. home, just a week before Morissette celebrated her 36th birthday. The couple have been dating since 2009, and it’s the first marriage for both. Morissette’s rise to fame came quickly after her debut album “Jagged Little Pill” was released by MCA records, which became the best-selling debut album by a female artist in the U.S, selling over 30 million units worldwide.

The news in the blogosphere is that hot-shot lesbian power couple Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter have allegedly split. The rumor has it that after a five year marriage they are no longer and Kelli has moved out of the house. Also, some people have explained that Rosie had no clue Kelli had a facebook page. In this day and age, that could spark a fight. Of course this all could be lies as the two have a bunch of kids and it hard to believe, but that is the rumor mill.
From the conservative file, yet another bout of bigotry. An appointed judge named Keith Bardwell has refused to marry couple of different races. He explains “I’m not a racist. I just don’t believe in mixing the races that way.” Yet, people don’t claim a correlation between conservatism and prejudice. The truth of the matter is that something like this would not show up in a blue state. Plain and simple.
On his side again. What a moving speech. No international news channel broadcast this (except for a tiny bit in BBC International). They should have really. This message of change should’ve gotten across to the world because it’s not just an American issue, it’s an international issue. When the world listen to one of the most loved public figures the world over say such things they might realize that this is a issue of concern and look around them. Hate, in any form, should never be accepted. One’s beliefs shouldn’t curtail another person’s road to happiness. Anyway, getting too preachy here. But, you get the point. Why is what he said so controversial? It’s liberalism 101. He is so guarded, yet so passionate. Yes, legalization of marijuana is a right, yes gay marriage is a human right and yes the right to no religion is a human right. Get over yourselves good-bye and get over it!
