Okay, this looks a little too close to Janet Jackson’s “Anytime, Anyplace” video, but we will not hold it against her. We are having a little bit of a hard time buying the new sexiness that Alicia Keys is selling here, but, also, we will let it go. Continue reading
“Following a recently settled, tumultuous legal battle with previous label Hidden Beach, which found her countersuing the label’s claim that she exited halfway through a six-album deal last year, singer/songwriter Jill Scott has signed a distribution deal with Warner Brothers Records.

Neosoul greats Jill Scott and Maxwell are joining forces for a 20-date tour around North America. The tour is set to highlight the best of their future album (Maxwell’s blackSUMMER’Snight and Jill Scott’s Words & Sounds Vol. 4: Light Of The Sun). The tour is probably the second most anticipated tour of the year for us after the resurgence of Lilith Fair. We are excited!
It’s hard to believe that Maxwell’s BLACKSummer’sNight is on it’s forth single. After the first single “Pretty Wings” launched the album and won a Grammy, which we think is undeserved even if we love Maxwell. Two singles followed “Bad Habits” and “Cold.” This one seems to be a charity single because there’s a pink ribbon for breast cancer charities on it. Sweet.
