Kuwait: Best place in the Middle East for press freedom

Speaking technically, Kuwait is currently #1 in the Middle East and the Arab World when it comes to freedom of the press. As much as we’d like to boast and rant on this accomplishment, it was not really due to Kuwait’s adamant effort on rectifying some of its freedom faults, but is a result of other countries faltering. This comes on because of Israel’s atrocious behavior in handling media rights during the horrific Gaza Strip massacre. Yes, Kuwait rose to #60 and became the Middle East’s champion merely because Israel fell hard. Inching closer is Lebanon right after at #61 (rising). Then the UAE at #86 and Qatar at #94, both of which steeply down. Still, is #60 good enough? It’s 60 out 175, which gives Kuwait a grade of 65.8/100. That’s a D!
Chris Brown finally apologizes
1I don’t buy it. This is too little, too late. He thought he could ease on down out of it but it’s not happening. Some of the media might have forgotten what went down exactly and this is the perfect time for the apology, not too far away from the incident yet far enough for people to forget the details. He should have had some jail time, not too long of a sentence, but some jail time. I am against the long jail sentence not because I think his crime was light, but because I believe in a form of humanitarianism that defies the system of extreme incarceration. At any rate, the apology should have been directed at Rihanna and he should have done more doing than talking. Nice top, though.
Conservatives thrive on misinformation
1If they’re not angry about Dijon mustard or busy hating on minorities, Republicans and conservatives alike are occupied with a whole lot of misinformation. No wonder the dumbest people on the face of this earth vote for them. They like fear mongering and the puritan mindset works overtime when it’s fearful. So, they have to do this stuff to scare people into giving them positions of power. What a bunch of hateful uncouth individuals.
The View clashes over Sarah Palin
2I am just laying back watching all the conservatives, whether here or there, squirm at this new progressive world. Why are we still talking about human rights violators like Sarah Palin. Elisabeth Hasselbeck claims that she was a great governor of the state of Alaska? Really, then why is Alaska the most corrupt state in the US? Why is she still whining. Stop being a media hag and go hunt a moose. People talk of her daughter’s pregnancy because she rambles on about conservative values and this came as a shock to all. Maybe, it’s freezing there now and she needs to warm things up.
