It’s here. The first double-A side of the new Angels Advocate remix album has surface. It’s this track with it-rapper and fashion young-in Nicki Minaj. The video is red and white themed. Basically Mariah did all the videos she wants to do and now she’s just having plain old fun with ludicrous pigtails, extra hair-swishing and chewing gum. The extra rap is unnecessary. But, Mariah’s gotta do what’s she’s gotta do, No questions asked.

Mariah Carey’s album “Angels Advocate” pushed back
Mariah Carey’s remix album to Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel has been pushed back. Angels Advocate was being readied for a February release but now is slated for March. The album is set to include both dance versions and R&B versions of her songs. But, delays are always the case for Mariah albums. So, Memoirs will have to quench your thirst for now.
Mariah Carey’s duet with Ne-Yo “Angels Cry” leaks!
The song that is set to be the fourth single from Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel and the first from Angels Advocate has leaked all across the internet. We have to say that as much as we love Mariah, her choice to include Ne-Yo butchered the song and turned it from a beautiful standout ballad to a midtempo airplay number. The original version is so much better this is just a mess. We hope she makes a video for the original too. Click below to listen to it.

3The details for the dance edition of the remix album are out. It’ll be done entirely by Chicago DJ’s Jump Smokers. No David Morales for us. No Miguel Migs. No Junior Vasquez. Yes, we’ll have to settle for a midwestern American remixer for this. This one is just OK. We can do without the additional vocals in the beginning. Let’s just hope she goes back into the studio for her vocals and does some wailing.
Mariah Carey announces tour dates for “Angels Advocate” tour
So, now it’s called the Angels Advocate tour not the Angels Cry tour and it will take off right after her New Year’s gig at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It’ll span a little more than a month and, as of now, it only consists of North American dates. She needs to get around the world with this one as a whole lot of people are waiting for her, never forgetting Australia. Dubai and Beirut again would be nice. Or maybe Port Ghalib. Finally, some good news on the progression of the Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel remix album. Now, it’s two albums to please everyone. MariahDaily.com has just announced that Mariah Carey will be releasing two of them. One is of R&B and hip hop mixes, which was the initial release. And the other, straight up dance remixes. Yes, Mariah is reworking her new songs to create her first ever dance album. This is good news to many. Let’s hope she brings out David Morales, Miguel Migs and Vasquez for this one.

2This is mariah’s third single and we would not have chosen it to be one, but any sexy video from Mariah rolling around on a beach is a treat and a half. The video is short and it cuts out the fun licks in the song, but it must be the last one from the non-remix album, or maybe there’s some room for “Angels Cry,” which she named the tour after. The video is directed by Brett Ratner and it’s really not that spectacular. But, we’ll take it. All you need is a wind machine!

Mariah Carey is putting baby plans way further and it’s sounding good to us fans and lambs. Mariah is going on a tour named The Angels Cry Tour, after one of the best songs and only ballads on her album, in support of Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel and its predecessor of a remix album. Some dates here and there have been announced but we will post a more solid schedule once it surfaces. Oh, and the opening act is a band named RydazNrtist, which is on Nick Cannon’s record label. Blah!

2This track is called “Skydiving” and it didn’t end up on Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel and we are kind of glad it didn’t. Ir doesn’t fit in and Mariah doesn’t need Timbaland for a radio hit, unlike Madonna. I have a feeling that it might get to be on the “deluxe” addition of the album should the album go places.

Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel will be dedicated to the late and great Michael Jackson. Mariah Carey has insinuated that the singles coming out after “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Obsessed” might be “Ribbon” and/or “Angels Cry.” We think they are both. The album’s the most starkly different, but it’s a grower.

We have been listening to it non-stop. Still, Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel is like nothing Mariah has ever release and is sonically very different. The review’ll come out soon. Meanwhile, Mariah has shoved Madonna off of the only place she does well – the Dance charts. “Obsessed” has done very well and climbed atop the dance charts becoming her 15th dance #1. This is probably because the Seamus Haji remix is on fire!

3We have to say the throwback do is not working. But, we’ll tough it through with Mariah. And, despite her efforts to get a number 1 records with “I Want To Know What Love is,” it’s not going to happen. Cover versions rarely go up there on the US charts. In fact, of all Mariah’s covers only “I’ll Be There” made it and it was a whole different scene for the charts then.

This is for all the naysayers that tried to put this single down. After weeks lingering just outside the Billboard Top 10, “Obsessed” broke in at #7 becoming her 27th top 10 single. Yes, she’s now tied with Janet Jackson and Elton John. I always thought it was a great track. Now, watch “I Want To Know What Love Is” get there, too. Side note: where’s “Celebration?”

Now, you can listen to snippets of all of Mariah Carey’s songs on Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel over at LoopGum.com. The tracks sound very scrumptious and very soulful. There are a bunch of slow numbers and good percentage of midtempo. As per usual, there’s an absence of uptempo, but that never hurt Mariah. The interludes, reprises and prologues all sound like great syncers and stand-alones. This is our take, but then again we are huge fans.

Mariah revisits debut single for Las Vegas shows

Mariah Carey has recreated her first single cover for “Vision Of Love” for her mini-tour poster in Las Vegas. The show is set to happen in September and October in the midst of her promotion of the new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. The Pearl will host the event. We hope that MC is not testing things out to embark on some sort of residency in the state of Nevada, a la Toni Braxton and Celine Dion.
