Natalie Merchant performs “Nursery Rhyme Of Innocence And Experience” live on soundcheck

Natalie Merchant’s new album is a little hard to digest. It’s called Leave Your Sleep and its an ode to lesser-known and historic nursery rhymes. We like her voice, so it is like butter to us, but it requires deep listening for a great understanding of this project. Plus, it’s a two disc set, which makes it even harder to crack.

Natalie Merchant to release new album in March!

Since The House Carpenter’s Daughter was released in 2003 Natalie Merchant has been absent. We had the great privilege of seeing her live at Boston Pop a while back, but she only perform 4 songs and only one from her previous albums. Imagine! The new album will be out in March and it will be called Leave Your Sleep. She will follow that with a return to Lilith Fair. It’s the mid-90s’ all over again! Check out the above video to get a snippet of her great career.
