Sony Music Australia recently conformed that there will be another single from Michael Jackson’s posthumous album Michael. The single will be titled “Hollywood Tonight” and will also get the video treatment. It is a Teddy Riley track and is set to hit radio real soon.
1. Loft965.com picked you as an “Artist to look forward to in 2011.” How do you feel about that and what do you think this year holds for you?
I am so honoured that Loft965.com have picked me as a ‘one to watch for 2011′. It’s a huge confidence boost to know that you believe in what I’m doing. This year will be filled with writing, designing shows, making videos and hopefully a headline tour of my own.
2. We love “Strangest Thing” and “Ain’t Nobody.” What will be your next single?
My next single is ‘The Last Dance’. It’s available in the U.S. on the 22nd of February on iTunes. The video is on youtube now, check it out, I love it!
3. Your single “Last Dance” was written after the death of Michael Jackson. Were you fan of the legendary King Of Pop and how did you feel upon hearing the news?
It was triggered by his death but there were also many things happening in my life at the time that influenced the song. I was a huge Michael Jackson fan and I was devastated when he passed. I thought it was distasteful when I read mean comments about him online, so my anger triggered the need to write the song, I went into the studio and that was it.
4. Your debut album, Light After Dark, is coming out on February 28th. How would you describe it and what sound can we expect?
I would describe it as ‘big, emotive, honest epic pop.’
5. We love quotes, what is your favorite quote or motto?
One of my favourite quotes is ‘imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.’ Marilyn Monroe.
This is going to be Clare Maguire’s year and this is one of the singles that’s going to help facilitate that. It’s an ode to the King of Pop Michael Jackson and will be on Clare’s debut coming out soon. Watch this space for more Clare news.
Even though it didn’t manage to land on the number one spot on the Billboard 200, it still managed to get record sales worldwide. The only chart it landed at the top spot on is Denmark‘s (that we know of), but, nonetheless, it’s a hit. We are still hesitant about getting it because we believe that he wouldn’t have permitted some of these tracks to see the light of day had he been alive. But, at this point anything from our beloved Michael Jackson is treasured.
Michael Jackson’s unreleased material is making it out and it feel like it’s without consent from the King Of Pop, because, had he been alive, we would not allow such lackluster hits and half-done songs out. But, we could only wish for the scraps that are left from his great legacy. So, here’s the fame-mongering cover.
“Breaking News” is set to be the first single off of the posthumous album Michael. But, it sounds like it came from the Invincible sessions and it deals with the fame and public life, which is very in the vain of his later stuff. Of course, it’s good and sounds like a great dance song, but let’s hope there are more offerings on this record.
News is out that Michael Jackson fans will finally get some new material as soon as this year. The King Of Pop must have a prolific oeuvre that hasn’t been released and this Monday we will hear the new single “Breaking News” from his upcoming album of unreleased material titled Michael. This is exciting news as we have been dying to hear some new beats and this was recored in 2007 in New Jersey. Exciting.
Austin Brown, nephew of Michael Jackson was born on 22 Nov 1985 in West Lake Los Angeles. Brown’s mother introduced him to music, Michael Jackson also was his music teacher. He was silently working on his music and never came in limelight .At the age of 4 at MJ’s Bad World Tour he was able to go on stage with Michael and that’s when he realized that he is born to perform on stage with great talent. His new single “Target Practice” along with an album 85 is suppose to come out later this year.
Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel will be dedicated to the late and great Michael Jackson. Mariah Carey has insinuated that the singles coming out after “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Obsessed” might be “Ribbon” and/or “Angels Cry.” We think they are both. The album’s the most starkly different, but it’s a grower.
