It seems that Erykah Badu’s wishes that nothing leaks from her new album have gone to the bins. The album already had a couple of songs leak from it, including one she leaked herself titled “Window Seat.” From the sounds of it, Erykah Badu is heading in the right direction for this project. With the recession in full affect and CD sales on a fast plummet, stars have taken to other mediums to market themselves and make a little money on the way. Britney Spears has taken a new route: selling little icons of hers on Facebook gifts. One is free and 5 are not. That way, all her fans can give her 5 dollars each. That’s some mad money, if you ask me. Not to mention the double or triple buys from friends. It’s an interesting way to market an artist while making money. Still, one can just cut and paste the image really.
Beverley Knight calls album 100%
Finally, it gets a title and it’s almost done. The songstress is set to do London on a intimate date in October to preview the tracks. Rumor has it she’s been working with Chaka Khan. 100% percent is make or break and from what I have heard it sounds hella good. Her voice in enough. This is a new promo photo.
New iPhone coming next week
The gadget rumor-mill is filled with news of a new iPhone that will be launching sometime next week. The phone will allegedlly have a sleeker look, 32 gb storage, video camera, enhanced camera, more apps, a greater operating speed, a compass and will go for lower that $199. I don’t know how that is possible. But, that’s what they are all saying. Check it here and here.

The conservatives are looking out for Obama to fail at his stimulus plan and watching his every step for him to fail. Of course George W Bush is not under scrutiny on their part for initiating this crisis, the instead blame it on the Clinton years. What a burden Obama has as in incoming presidents only to have the conservatives forming a senate block against him and criticizing every move before he makes it. They must be bitter that they are responsible for the worst president to ever enter the oval office. Let’s see what a trillion does…

Introducing… Erin McCarley
Love, Save The Empty is Erin McCarley’s debut album and it is a mixture of pompous folk and moody rock. It is like a cross between Sheryl Crow, KT Tunstall and Chantal Kreviazuk. My current favorites are “Blue Suitcase” and “Sticky Sweet.” I watched he perform live on David Letterman and she was great. I am looking forward to listening more.
Amy Winehouse to divorce…
Apparently, Amy Winehouse is seeking a secret divorce from Blake-on-longer-incarcerated after he asked her to pay his rehab bills of £30,000 (KD 13,000). She hasn’t seen him since he came out and is planning to work out a divorce without handing him the £10 million (KD 4.2 Million) settlement. Consequently, love is a losing game.
