Sexy Track: “With You” by Flight Facilities featuring Grovesnor

When it comes to winning streaks in the iTunes age, nobody has done it like Flight Facilities. The Australian dance outfit has scored an underground hit once every year since their wonderful “Crave You” came out. Their second single was “Foreign Language,” which took us by storm and still didn’t let go. Now, they come back with a third single “With You” with no sight of an album. That’s how they do it in the mp3 era.

The new single “With You” speaks of an adulterous affair. While my friends are having a dispute on whether the pronouns point to a homosexual or heterosexual relationship, the message covers a topic not often-trodden. This is the new single with summer beats and a lively chorus that will leave you repeating it even when the song is not on. This is a truly remarkable track from a band that has not faltered yet.

Video Premiere: “Only The Horses” by Scissor Sisters

This is quiet different direction for the band. It’s more of a conventional dance route with a rock twist. It’s not what we are used to and we don’t think its quite the right direction for the band known for its glam-rock. It’s too overproduced for the Scissor Sisters, don’t you think?

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Carmen” by Lana Del Rey

1

Lana Del Rey is not stopping anytime soon. She is churning those singles out one for one. It’s great see her take a vested interest in making the tracks shine instead of concentrating on two singles and then promoting the album. Born To Die surely has more to come and this is just one of the great tunes on there.

You know this one! Highly loved by many of you and it caters to all those pop/dance music aficionados everywhere. It’s here, it’s fierce, get used to it. Another serving of pure pop. This one’s for the feet and it will usher in your summer in the most stupendous way possible. This has been alive now for 8 years in a row and this is merely continuation of this saga, if we shall call it that. At any rate, put on your feather boa and strut to this the way you always used it. Now, shake!

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Girl Gone Wild” by Madonna

The video treatment for the second single from Madonna’s new album MDNA is out and we have to say that we haven’t liked a Madonna video so much for a while. This is fun, fresh and eye-grabbing. We are lovely the fashions, the dancing’s on point for a change and the lovely scene at the end with the black tears. Also, the eye candy is not so bad. This is was we imagine Madonna doing at this point. Great songs, amazing sexy videos. Good job.

Madonna changes “Girl Gone Wild” title in fear of lawsuit!

1

We got an email today from an agency hired by Madonna’s team telling us to amend the new single title from “Girls Gone Wild” to “Girl Gone Wild.” Allegedly, this is pending issue with Madonna’s management in fear of getting into a lawsuit with Joe Francis, the founder of the soft-porn company of the same name. So, now the song’s title and meaning have changed in order to dodge that ball. Ya’ll know Madonna will go through hell and high water before she shares writing credits with anyone.

Francis retaliated: “Clearly her label was trying to avoid legal action surrounding the song … BUT [the new title] is still infringement as far as the law is concerned, and we have been in touch with Madonna’s people in an effort to resolve this issue.

Let’s hope all is settled soon as the track is strong and deserves a release. Also, wouldn’t it have been better if she just added an apostrophe and changed it to “Girl’s Gone Wild.” Would it have worked legally?

1

Madonna’s highly-anticipated MDNA is slated for released date. All the Madonnaphiles can be happy. The queen is releasing the album just one day before Mariah Carey’s birthday. You know, because she can’t dare release it on The Voice’s birthday. The release date is…

Santigold’s new album is called…

2

Santigold announced that the follow-up of Santogold would be out in spring 2012. It was recorded in part in Jamaica. She described her forthcoming album as “sonically eclectic but with some epic curveballs thrown into the mix”. We waited and waited. I have a song called “The Keepers”: “we’re the keepers, while we sleep in America our house is burning down”. ”Big Mouth,” the first track and video from the album was issued in late just a week ago.  So, click below for the name of the new album!

Legendary: “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)” by Baz Luhrmann

This little ditty is a but of a mystery. It’s a spoken word pop song dedicated to the class of 99 (moi) that managed to climb up the charts and inspire many along with its colorful music video. Listening to it now after a while, it’s still as poignant as it was. Listen to the lyrics and give yourself a boost and a half. “Dance!”

Video Premiere: “You Da One” by Rihanna

2

We don’t know why Rihanna thought this would be a good choice a single. There are many different tracks on the album that deserve it more. The video’s not that pretty either. At any rate, let’s hope the next single is “Where Have U Been?” Or should that be left for the Summer?

Video Premiere: “Dance For You” by Beyonce

1

4 is not over, the bonus tracks are also getting the video treatment. But, we are not done with the album cuts yet! We want videos for “I Care,” “End Of Time” and “I Miss U.” This song, frankly speaking, is not that great of a song compared to the rest.

Video Premiere: “Painted Love” by Air

1

The uploader has made this video not available in my country because apparently they are so eager to break the Kuwaiti market when they get to it, or they just lump up everyone not from where they are or not a huge market for western music like the US and the UK. Nonetheless, we love the band, so we want to give the chance to some of our international readers to see it. Tell us how it goes.

Video Premiere: “Our Day Will Come” by Amy Winehouse

Posthumously, Amy Winehouse is still rocking! This is a new song from the quickly put-together album of unreleased material called Lioness: Hidden Treasures. The song sounds like a cut from the Back To Black era. It’s all taken from snippets of her previous videos and then some still to zoom into. It looks like a VH-1 Behind The Music documentary. Let’s hope the unleash some unseen footage next time around.

Video Premiere: “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry

1

The video treatment for this song is cute, but the sound of the track is mundane and we feel it sounds like any Katy Perry song. And the tattooing thing is stolen right out of her bestfriend Rihanna’s video for “We Found Love.” Can we stop at this for the last single from Teenage Dream now?

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Thunderbolt” by Bjork

3

Did we get another Bjork video first again? Lovely. This is yet another track from Bjork’s new album Biophilia. A beautiful little number that doesn’t stray too far away from post-Vespertine Bjork. Still, it needs a little oomph to fulfill our desires. The video is surprisingly a live set directed by thirtytwo. You like?

Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “We Found Love” by Rihanna

3

Drugs, sex, violence and pop. Rihanna will go anywhere to get her point across and it looks good. Actually, this is one of the cases where the video made the song. It wasn’t so great when we first heard it, but the recklessness of the video is just perfect for this. The colors, the concept and the shock value. Reminds us of our college days, lol.

Video Premiere: “Love On Top” by Beyonce

1

Will every song on 4 get the video treatment? As of now, it sure seems so. This is one of the best tracks of the year and the video is not so bad either. We like the demure backdrop and the rest-easy air. Love.

Introducing… J.Viewz

1

Up until this point, J.Viewz has released new songs, music videos, and remixes piecemeal to fans without actively promoting them to the music press. Yet through word of mouth the songs and videos surrounding rivers and homes. have been listened to and viewed hundreds of thousands of times, with the J.Viewz Youtube channel registering over 700,000 views on its own. A drop in the bucket for Lady Gaga, but a grand accomplishment for a project that has had no outside promotion.

J.Viewz sound alternately combines elements of soft breakbeat, hazy nostalgia, glitchy chillout, and strong vocal performances. The album vacillates between the high energy pop of “far too close” to calming expansive dreamscapes like “building a home”, but is pulled together cohesively by Dagan’s deft aesthetic vision.

Leona Lewis postpones album until 2012!

2

Allegedly, Leona Lewis has tweeted that she is very inspired these days and will put her album on hold to add things on it. She apparently wants to make it perfect and, as a result, fans will not get to see some new material until next year. We weren’t big fans of “Collide,” but we are not the biggest fans of Leona Lewis either. Still, she has the chops for a great track.
