Madonna’s highly-anticipated MDNA is slated for released date. All the Madonnaphiles can be happy. The queen is releasing the album just one day before Mariah Carey’s birthday. You know, because she can’t dare release it on The Voice’s birthday. The release date is…

Santigold’s new album is called…
2Santigold announced that the follow-up of Santogold would be out in spring 2012. It was recorded in part in Jamaica. She described her forthcoming album as “sonically eclectic but with some epic curveballs thrown into the mix”. We waited and waited. I have a song called “The Keepers”: “we’re the keepers, while we sleep in America our house is burning down”. ”Big Mouth,” the first track and video from the album was issued in late just a week ago. So, click below for the name of the new album!
Legendary: “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)” by Baz Luhrmann
This little ditty is a but of a mystery. It’s a spoken word pop song dedicated to the class of 99 (moi) that managed to climb up the charts and inspire many along with its colorful music video. Listening to it now after a while, it’s still as poignant as it was. Listen to the lyrics and give yourself a boost and a half. “Dance!”
Video Premiere: “You Da One” by Rihanna
2We don’t know why Rihanna thought this would be a good choice a single. There are many different tracks on the album that deserve it more. The video’s not that pretty either. At any rate, let’s hope the next single is “Where Have U Been?” Or should that be left for the Summer?
Lady Gaga performs “Marry The Night” on Ellen!
1Video Premiere: “Dance For You” by Beyonce
14 is not over, the bonus tracks are also getting the video treatment. But, we are not done with the album cuts yet! We want videos for “I Care,” “End Of Time” and “I Miss U.” This song, frankly speaking, is not that great of a song compared to the rest.
Video Premiere: “Painted Love” by Air
1The uploader has made this video not available in my country because apparently they are so eager to break the Kuwaiti market when they get to it, or they just lump up everyone not from where they are or not a huge market for western music like the US and the UK. Nonetheless, we love the band, so we want to give the chance to some of our international readers to see it. Tell us how it goes.
Video Premiere: “Our Day Will Come” by Amy Winehouse
Posthumously, Amy Winehouse is still rocking! This is a new song from the quickly put-together album of unreleased material called Lioness: Hidden Treasures. The song sounds like a cut from the Back To Black era. It’s all taken from snippets of her previous videos and then some still to zoom into. It looks like a VH-1 Behind The Music documentary. Let’s hope the unleash some unseen footage next time around.
Video Premiere: “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry
1The video treatment for this song is cute, but the sound of the track is mundane and we feel it sounds like any Katy Perry song. And the tattooing thing is stolen right out of her bestfriend Rihanna’s video for “We Found Love.” Can we stop at this for the last single from Teenage Dream now?
Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “Thunderbolt” by Bjork
3Did we get another Bjork video first again? Lovely. This is yet another track from Bjork’s new album Biophilia. A beautiful little number that doesn’t stray too far away from post-Vespertine Bjork. Still, it needs a little oomph to fulfill our desires. The video is surprisingly a live set directed by thirtytwo. You like?
Must-Watch: Video Premiere: “We Found Love” by Rihanna
3Drugs, sex, violence and pop. Rihanna will go anywhere to get her point across and it looks good. Actually, this is one of the cases where the video made the song. It wasn’t so great when we first heard it, but the recklessness of the video is just perfect for this. The colors, the concept and the shock value. Reminds us of our college days, lol.
Video Premiere: “Love On Top” by Beyonce
1Will every song on 4 get the video treatment? As of now, it sure seems so. This is one of the best tracks of the year and the video is not so bad either. We like the demure backdrop and the rest-easy air. Love.
Introducing… J.Viewz
1Up until this point, J.Viewz has released new songs, music videos, and remixes piecemeal to fans without actively promoting them to the music press. Yet through word of mouth the songs and videos surrounding rivers and homes. have been listened to and viewed hundreds of thousands of times, with the J.Viewz Youtube channel registering over 700,000 views on its own. A drop in the bucket for Lady Gaga, but a grand accomplishment for a project that has had no outside promotion.
J.Viewz sound alternately combines elements of soft breakbeat, hazy nostalgia, glitchy chillout, and strong vocal performances. The album vacillates between the high energy pop of “far too close” to calming expansive dreamscapes like “building a home”, but is pulled together cohesively by Dagan’s deft aesthetic vision.
Leona Lewis postpones album until 2012!
2Allegedly, Leona Lewis has tweeted that she is very inspired these days and will put her album on hold to add things on it. She apparently wants to make it perfect and, as a result, fans will not get to see some new material until next year. We weren’t big fans of “Collide,” but we are not the biggest fans of Leona Lewis either. Still, she has the chops for a great track.
First Listen: “Pop Song” by Hafdís Huld
2Just when you thought no one can be quirkier than Bjork in Iceland, Hafdis Huld shows up. This little iceberg-folkie is loopy as hell, yet very talented and has a beautiful distinct voice. This is the first single (or buzz track) from her yet-untitled third album. Click below for the link! If anyone can get the song in mp3 format please tell us!
Track-by-track previews of Tori Amos’s “Night Of Hunters”
2This has got to be one of the album that we are looking forward to the most. Night Of Hunters is Tori Amos’s new offering and we a reeling for a listen of anything from the classical-tinged disc.
Britney Spears’ next single to be “Inside Out”
3Allegedly, there have been reports that the next single to receive the video treatment from Britney Spears’ album Femme Fatale is “Inside Out.” We had secretly hoped it would be “Trip To Your Heart.” It’s not a bad song, but let’s hope there a fifth single under the record company’s sleeve.
Update: Apparently, it’s not! But follow us on twitter!
Robyn covers Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”
1Robyn did Live Lounge recently and covered Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall.” Dare we say it sounds better than the original? Because it does. Click below to listen to it.
Nicola Roberts films video for second single “Lucky Day”
1Nicola Roberts’ first single “Beat Of My Drum” might have not gotten the attention that is should have, but that is not stopping the campaign for her debut album Cinderella’s Eyes in its tracks. The Girls Aloud member is still going strong and filming the second single “Lucky Day” and it looks like we are going to see more colorful underwear real soon from the ginger one.
Video Premiere: “Pressure” by Nadia Ali, Starkillers and Alex Kenji
3Nadia Ali is not only working at her solo projects but also collaborating. She know what made her famous and her vocals have become synonymous with third-wave house music. This is not our cup of tea but will do just fine in its circles.
