Official cover of Amy Winehouse’s third album “Lioness: Hidden Treasures”

So, this is the official artwork for Amy Winehouse’s new album titled  Lioness: Hidden Treasures, and it’s going to be released on the 5th of December, 2011. It’s not that great of a picture and they could have dropped the “Hidden Treasures” from the title. Not sure if it will be a collection of B-sides and remixes or the new material she was working on. At any rate, this could only benefit her legacy as she left too little material on earth. 5/10.

Robyn launches new album with mini-documentary

Robyn’s new release in 2010 will be here before the summer as she says in the documentary and it will be dance-oriented. This little documentary made for Swedish TV shows you how much effort she puts into her pop world. Everything from the mixing to the logo to the photography to the song choice and lyrics is up to her choice. She even listen to the songs on car speakers to make sure fans get the quality they deserve. Now, that’s passion. We can’t wait for the album as she released one of the greatest albums in pop history last time around. Click below for the rest of the documentary.

Lady GaGa’s sister makes cameo in video for “Telephone”

We were wondering why they panned into this lady with a striking resemblance to the GaGa in the hail scene while Lady GaGa was waiting for her call from Beyonce. She didn’t seem like she was tough enough for incarceration. Well. it turns out to be Lady GaGa’s sister. What do you think?

Sugababes might lose their name!

1

The battle for the Sugababes’ name is on.  Ousted member Keisha Buchanan is taking to the courts and everyone is wondering, first, why she decided to do so and, second, why does she think the name is attached to her and not Mutya Buena or Siobhan Donaghy. But, she is working hard on the new album. Let’s hope the solo matter with overshadow Amelle.

Keisha Buchanan is suing for the Sugababes name

4

Ousted Sugababes member and the last of the originals Keisha Buchanan has taken to the courts to claim the Sugababes name. Yes, one of the original founders and the only one that lasted throughout the career is mad that Amelle Barrebah took the band away from her. Heidi used to be Keisha’s friend but she decided to lay low to keep ahold of her position in the band. Anyway, click here for more info.

Rage Against The Machine to beat Joe McElderry for Christmas top spot

2

The early numbers are in and, maybe, for the first time since the inception of X-Factor UK the winner will not get a number one for Christmas. According to early digital sales of the single Joe McElderry’s “The Climb” is trailing 10% in sales behind Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name”. This will surely be a dent into the X- Factor world and will probably teach Simon Cowell not to choose a Miley Cyrus song for a cover. We hope it happens, but it’s highly unlikely as teh physical single is not out yet and that’s what grandmas and little kids buy. So there might be a skew and unfortunately RATM might not win. You see, this makes the Christmas number 1 exciting again, instead of just a dead cert.

Madonna names collection “Iconography”

She’s at it again. Selling out for money and nothing else. Many say this is her third greatest hits compilation. I say it’s the fourth. The Immaculate Collection, Something To Remember, GHV2 and Iconography. Madonnaheads will say Something To Remember is a concept album. But most of the tracks on it are from older albums or soundtracks or EPs. And don’t get me started on her EPs. Whatever it is, the new name is fitting. She’ll hire some rapper and put out a horrid little tune that will be remixed 20 times and played at circuit parties until I am 71. That doesn’t mean it’s good, though.
