Mariah Carey’s in the studio, but not that kind of studio. She actually took the time out to do a little voice-over work for American Dad, one of our all-time favorite TV shows. Not sure what the episode was all about but we will make sure to catch it.
Mariah Carey is working hard in her very pink studio to churn out another album filled with #1 tracks. The diva is slated to release a new album in 2012. She is also doing some live dates. One of which in Morocco, which was the inspiration behind her naming her son Moroccan. Is that lube next to the Fiji water bottle?
“I was privileged enough to attend the BET Honors last night here in DC and it was great! Got to rub elbows with tons of folks and I must say Mariah and Nick looked phenomenal! They were one of the last to arrive in the venue (Mariah on time?! Hell no! lmao)! Security was verrrrryyy tight, as they had cross streets around 3\4ths of the venue completely blocked off to car and foot traffic unless you arrived in a chauffeured SUV or vehicle like we did. All of F street between 12th and 11th streets were blocked. The show started a little late and ran about an hour late due to re taping some things with the incomparable Stevie Wonder! I also attended the after party at The Portrait Gallery a few blocks away, where most of the honorees were in attendance as well as other celebs who skipped the carpet to go into the venue at The Warner! Plus DC is freezing right now! Lol I took a few pics but due to privacy I will only post a few on my personal FB page but I will send you guys a pic I snapped, after the show let out, of the VERY well made program that we all received upon entrance! I’m glad that BET has finally given Mariah her props. They were long over due! Kelly was great but no one can sing Mariahs’ songs better than she can! Never have and Never will! All in all everyone in attendance had a great fun and classy night!”

For some reason Mariah Carey decided to releases this just two weeks before the occasion. We had thought the she was going to leave it for the re-release of her album Merry Christmas II You in 2012. However, we are going to be very angry lambs if new non-seasonal material appears next year. Yes, we said it.
Little did we know that the head diva was going to market her last album Merry Christmas II You once again this year post-delivery. It’s also a great treat to know that our favorite song on the album “When Christmas Comes” is getting a release with John Legend. It’s a throwback original Mariah song with a lot of soul for the season. It would be great if this song got an extra festive video. As part of an international #Lambily, we have to say that we are very against Mariah Carey releasing another version of this classic, because it has been done and did. Now she did it again, right after her second seasonal album and this time, it’s with Justin Bieber. We think this is the only Mariah Carey track that we won’t be purchasing and/or listening to. It must be really lucrative for business to have every teenager’s heart-throb cover one of your songs, but this is just too much and Mariah doesn’t need it. It’s good to hear some fresh music news from Mariah Carey other than that millionth version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” with Justin Beiber. What a mess. Anyway, Big Jim Wright and Randy Jackson are working on new tracks for Mariah. This is exciting news, but let’s face it. We won’t see this album until at least mid-2012. Check the below tweets!

The one and only Mrs. Mariah Carey Cannon is done with all the selling on TV stuff and the pregnancy bit and is ready to lay some vocals that ‘dem other irregularities dream to have laid. Mariah is back in the studio with Jermaine Dupri working on new material that is set to leave you loving every bit of her existence. You know, “If Jermaine Likes it, then I like it.” So excited for new non-Christian non-seasonal material. Bring on the secular fun!

This could be one of the greatest news pieces of the year. Mariah Carey is said to have already started working on her new album following her delivery of twins – Monroe and Moroccan. The album is said to be reflective of the journey she has been through and, according to her husband Nick Cannon, it’s set to drop sometime this year. Good news.
We really don’t do much gossip, but it is very interesting that Mariah Carey, who recently had twins (one girl, one boy) called her son Moroccan. We knew she had a Moroccan room in her lavish NYC apartment, but we didn’t know she loved us Arabs that much! And, of coure Monroe is named after Marilyn, whom she idolizes. Cute names.
The news just came in that Mariah Carey had given birth two weeks ahead of her time, allegedly. The baby girl came first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long
Just when you thought the pregnant Mariah Carey is taking it slow, she registers seven new songs under her immense oeuvre. The songs are titled “I Don’t Wanna Stop Loving You,” “I’ve Got A Man,” “Love Like This,” “Man Of The Hour,” “This Is For Real,” “Another Day Another Night All” and “Save The Day.”
We know the latter is the charity single that Jermaine Dupri tweeted about, but “Man Of The Hour” sounds like an alias for “Standing O” what do you think?
So, Mariah‘s not just an HSN girl anymore, she’s still dropping dem beats. The diva is set to appear on a Jermaine Dupri-produced charity single to feature her vocals, Taylor Swift, Drake, Mary J. Blige and more to name a few. The single is titled “Save The Day” and it’s supposed to have a Butterfly-era feel to it, apparently.

When we first heard that Mariah Carey was doing a Christmas album we cringed, why? We had never heard of a sophomore Christmas album by a pop artist to do well. What we forgot is Mariah Carey is probably the best artist on earth today to cater to that seasonal niche. Merry Christmas II You delivered strong vocals and festive numbers. The strongest of which is not a folkloric covers, but a song she wrote herself specifically for this album. “When Christmas Comes” follows in the same soul sub-genre of a little-known track Mariah did for her Charmbracelet album titled “Subtle Invitation,” which was also a standout. It fuses elements of soul, gospel, pop and balladry into one, making for a confection that only Mariah could come up with – perfect.
Not okay! We are self-certified lambs and we say that this video has got to be one of the worst videos of the year. Mariah is jumping around as a pregnant woman (a la Whitney Houston in “I’m Every Woman“) and it’s just not pretty. Also, Mariah pretty pouting is not up to par enough to be digestable. We hope this video doesn’t end up on a best of collection. Still, happy new year and any video from Mariah is welcome.
Mariah Carey’s “Oh Santa!” didn’t really climb the charts like “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” but she is already on her second single and we are glad she is releasing more. Not that we have listened to the album Merry Christmas II You, as we have been very bad lambs! But a new video would be splendid.
