Video Premiere: “Touch Me” by Electric Lady Lab

Danish artists Electric Lady Lab are paying homage to their neighbors. The band’s newest video for their single “Touch Me” is an ode to Norwegian rockers A-ha, with all the pencil-sketching inspired by synth-pop relic, “Take On Me.” The song, however, is not as great as their previous offerings, but we will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Premiere: Video: “Saturday Night” by the Noisettes

We forgot about the Noisettes for a hot minute, only because we heavily spun their album last year and gave it a break, but this brings it all back. One of the best songs on the album (and a single), get a new kind of video treatment. The band teamed up with Nokia, which gave a bunch of fans a new N95 and asked them to film random clips for the song. Then the clips were spliced together and this is the result.

Nokia does luxury with 6700 classic Gold Edition

We’re not fans of the showy-showy, but we are fans of the modern and the sleek. And frankly, with all this BBM bonanza and its clunky interface, we are kind of missing our Nokia binges. Anyway, Nokia, trying to find a midway between their regular phones and their luxury brand Vertu, have come up with this gold-plated standard of a cell phone. It’s so easy on the eyes.

Nokia X6 is looking good…

Nokia are really stepping up their game with their new range of products after the overwhelming and sweeping success of Blackberry in the past couple of month. I like what they are doing. Now, all they need to do is invited an internet messenger application unique to their phones. Shouldn’t BB Messenger be available to download for all platform. Any breaking of international monopoly laws happening here?

Nokia wants a share of the touchscreen market with 5230

Nokia wishes to penetrate the touchscreen market considering the fact that Blackberry and the iPhone have taken the over this year. The new phones are not only going to be touchscreen, but have been designed to be some of the cheapest touchscreen phones around. That is what’s going on in rumorville. The numbers being dropped are $99. And they’re 3G! In any case, I don’t think this’ll help Nokia. At least not here. They should start their own chat service like BBM and then I’ll jump of the bandwagon.

Nokia to release a laptop called Booklet 3G

Yes, Nokia has gone and done it. They are tapping into the laptop market with this mini-”booklet” that is supposed to be coming to a store near you in the future. It’s called a the Booklet 3G and it has a 10.1-inch display. But it will have a high resolution, apparently. Also, you can put a SIM card in it, which should make for a great marriage between a laptop and a phone. I might just ditch Blackberry and go back to Nokia. You know my love for everything Finnish.
