Early December 2011 came news that Tori Amos is going to expand her Night Of Hunters era with an instrumental album titled Sin Palabras. However, ever since that announcement there has been no news whatsoever about the release. We wonder if the project was abandoned?

One of the few Prince proteges to have a hit song, Rosie Gaines rocked the British dance scene with this Hi-NRG track. “Closer Than Close” had a great lyrical hook and a get-up-and-dance beat. If they only made dance music like this today!
Everything But The Girl fused trip hop with dance. The result was a beautiful concoction.
This looks like another video that’s simple but effective. Of course no one wrote the book on budget video making like Beyonce. Also, this song is strong as it is, it doesn’t need a video to push it further.

We miss us some top-notch female angst. Also this post-grunge genre of rock needs a revival. Were are all the riot grrrls?
There was a time when hip hop was headed somewhere, where the sound and melody mattered as much the rhymes. Also, there was a time when it was a more collaborative effort with R&B and Soul artists. This is one gem of the time that resonated through.

This former Brownstone member launched her solo career with a great track and then meandered into oblivion. This was a strong rock anthem, the time it came out and the lyrics are so powerful and simple. She didn’t look bad either. We wonder where she is now.
