The surprise smash album from Kelis is on its second single. The single is “4th Of July (Fireworks)” and it’s one of the best tracks on the album Fleshtone. She should make it big if they advertise it right. This is a short snippet for the video of the second single.
It’s one thing to come out for the good of the community or to end one of the world’s oldest silences, but it’s another to do for a career boost. As we see in this video, Ricky Martin uses his world-renowned good look to reach a different audience. Not the time for it really, especially when the civil rights movement in its midst. But, he doesn’t matter anyway and has been made redundant in the pop world for a while now. The message of emancipation as tattoos are just laughable. It’s like he felt out of the closet into a circuit party. Sad.
A Kuwaiti DJ by the name of Kilo has released a dance track to the world. He is signed to Next Plateau/Universal Music. It’s called “What I See” and it features Funk Generation. The single is available on iTunes. Click here to download the song. Also, visit his MySpace page. For a preview of the song click below.
This song is probably the best track Adam Lambert has on his debut album For Your Entertainment. It’s very well-written and has enough rock attitude in it without being overbearing. We quite like it.
Oh, and in case you had a little more cash fore Madge (she loves you), the live disc of the tour is also coming with a book of heavily retouched and well-angled pictures of Madonna posing during the tour. Of course, it’s just like a tour book. When will this whole Hard Candy era wither away?
Since The House Carpenter’s Daughter was released in 2003 Natalie Merchant has been absent. We had the great privilege of seeing her live at Boston Pop a while back, but she only perform 4 songs and only one from her previous albums. Imagine! But, we love her to death as she is one of the greatest singers/songwriters of our generation and indie artists need as much support as they can. The new album will be out in March and it will be called Leave Your Sleep. She will follow that with a return to Lilith Fair. It’s the mid-90s’ all over again! Check out the above video to get a snippet of her great career.
This show was supposedly being readied before Michael Jackson’s death, which is weird that the logo has a five in it (“Jack5ons”) to emphasize the Michael factor. At any rate, Jermaine is the only Jackson sybling we don’t really like. And this whole vehicle is being spun around him. This is the same brother that sold his story to make a TV movie about his brother and the one who originally broke up the Jackson 5. But, Tito’s always fun. So, we’ll watch in hopes of some Rebbie or LaToya or maybe even some Janet, which is unlikely.
We have it all at once. The album cover, the album title, the tracklisting, the first single and a mini-review of Kings Of Convenience’s long-awaited junior album Declaration Of Dependence. Firstly, the album cover is up there and it’s supposed to give you an idea of the island folk you’re about to listen to. Secondly, the title is also an ode to the surrender you will experience when you listen to it. Thirdly, the tracklisting is available below. Click if you wanna see it. Fourthly, the first single is set to be “Mrs. Cold” although “Boat Behind” has also been released to radio. Finally, the mini album review: Its what we have come to expect for the norwegian duo but with beachy influences and a little more optimism, which makes for a lovely lay-around records. Now, what?
What is she previewing exactly here? The new art of dance? There’s nothing in this video that gives me a glimpse at least of her and her new middling song. Well, yo know her. Anything for some publicity.
We have loved Michael Moore since we had to watch Roger & Me. He has constantly brought news from a different, yet progressive perspective. Everything he has ever released was a revelation: Bowling For Columbine, Fahrenheit 911, Sicko and his TV shows. This is the one to wait for. The documentarian is on a quest to reveal capitalism in its truest forms. Can’t wait!
