Exclusive: Nasser Loves Whitney

As you might have noticed if you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook, we are totally devastated from the death of the legendary Whitney Houston. Not only because she made a great contribution to the world of music, but also because we are music aficionados and we care a lot about this kind of music as we believe it has, not only an artistic impact but also a cultural one all over the world. Whitney is one of the greatest forces of that change and the progress of pop – a genre we love. At any rate, we know that you are about done right now with hearing “I Will Always Love You” blasted all over the media – A cover song that is originally Dolly Parton’s. For Micheal Jackson it was “Billie Jean” and for Amy Winehouse it was “Rehab.” And, as you might expect from Loft965.com, we are not ones to stop at the big hits only. So, we decided to compile a playlist for all the songs and remixes in Whitney Houston’s career that might go forgotten right now just like we did for Michael Jackson. Here it is. We hope you enjoy it.

In reflection of Amy Winehouse’s life, we went on a rampage to listen to all the tracks she recorded which never made it onto an album. This is a cover of the Carole King-penned track for the Shirelles “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” which some might argue is one of the great pop standards of our time. Here, Amy takes the acoustic guitar route and concentrates on her vocals, bringing the lyrics to life and giving us one of the greatest renditions of the song. Click blow to listen to it.

Amy Winehouse’s third album is complete!

1

Allegedly, word is in the Amy Winehouse has completed recording her third album and her record label was just waiting for her to finish her rehab stint and then get to releasing it. We already heard that she was recording a song with Tony Bennett, but not sure if that will end up on the album or not. There is no news out on the subject matter yet, but there are a couple of tracks floating around like “Puppy Love.”

Amy Winehouse, you will be missed!

Following the popping up of many internet and gaming rehabilitation centers in China and a few other places, the US is the latest to find a niche market for people who are addicted to their computers. The center is called reStart and it’s an internet addiction recovery program. You can check the symptoms here on their website. It will set you back $15,500 for a 45-day program. I am considering going, but was wondering if they have Wi-Fi.

Amy Winehouse heads to rehab…

She stopped saying no. She is finally going to rehab, again. She looks different every time a picture is published of her. This one is no exception. I just look at all the missed opportunities that she had: working again with Mark Ronson, doing the James Bond theme song, doing a better tour and the list goes on. That’s got to take a toll on her career, especially that now everyone has revisited her genre – Adele, Duffy, Beth Rowley, Vassy. She reigns supreme, though. I hope it works this time.
