Finland makes internet access a human right!

Finland understands the potential of information and the access to it. Therefore, one of our favorite countries stepped up to introduce a law that would make it mandatory for every citizen to have a physical connection to the internet of at least 1 Mbps speed. Yes, you read it right. It’s a requirement by law and if that’s not enough, by 2015, everybody should have a connection that is 100 Mbps or faster. That doesn’t mean that the people will not pay for it, it just means that every person has the right to have a connection whenever they want to. Now, that’s what we call progress!

Out of the many ludicrous things I have heard in my life as a pop fan and follower this has to be up there. To my recollection Sandi Thom has had: 2 albums, 5 singles and a tour or two. Of those singles, she has had one top spot holder – “I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)” – and the rest didn’t even make the top 20 UK singles chart. That is not to say that “The Devil’s Beat” or “What If I’m Right?” didn’t have redeemable qualities. But, a greatest hits collection. That’s like the prematurest of musical abortions.

Kind of like what they are doing now to Michelle Malkin. She’s going to have bad time going to a hairdresser / florist / make-up artists. It’s one thing to e hateful like the conservatives, it’s another to use that to propel your popularity. Like Eminen, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly.

1Ann Coulter and her warmongering have gone so deep in the conservative cesspool that she actually is willing to discredit Obama because he acknowledges the existence of “petty” radio broadcasters and none other than herself. She is so used George W Bush that if someone mentions her, he must be of lower political stature. Maybe that’s true in her case. Or maybe she’s having a couple of pills with Rush Limbaugh.
