Checking up on RuPaul today proved fruitful! Today is the day that the third season of her reality series RuPaul’s Drag Race airs its finales. The album is set to drop around the same time because RuPaul usually films her newest video on that episode. It looks like the slower “Superstar” is getting the video treatment this time, although we prefer the title track. At any rate, the album is now on iTunes, which comes as a surprise as many blogs are reporting that it had a May 3rd release date. iTunes could have done that by mistake as they allegedly have done with other independent artists like Ani DiFranco. Well, it’s downloading now and the review is pending!
This is so exciting. So much so that we looked up “exciting” in the thesaurus and got this: “thrilling, exhilarating, action-packed, stirring, rousing, stimulating, intoxicating, electrifying, invigorating; gripping, compelling, powerful, dramatic.”… erm, Okay, not that much.
Yes, Raja it is. This is just a prediction, so don’t get your panties twisted. Why you say? Well, first there is much speculation about this subject around the blogs and a multitude of fora. Second, this is a little known fact, but we remember that sometimes in 2001 or 2002 RuPaul blogged about seeing a great drag performer in some LA club by the name of Raja Gemini, allegedly. Third, she is the fiercest mo-fo on the show. Although we love us some Manila Luzon, who has been consistently good throughout the show, we think Raja has it all and a bag of chips. Of course, Alexis Mateo will not win, she’s fashionably-backwards, not the pretty in illusion and dated. We can only see the Heathers winning and there’s a certain spark to Raja that is very hard to find. We’ll have to wait a week to find out, but we feel the deal is sealed, what do you think?
RuPaul debuted her new song “Superstar” on the last episode, sung in different genres. Judging from the names, it’s in keeping with all her first singles. We can’t wait to listen to it and the entire Glamazon album. Exciting news!
This is a mixture between a prediction and an observation. We all know that RuPaul used the last episodes of both previous season to makes the videos for “Cover Girl (Put The Bass In Your Walk)” and “Jealous Of My Boogie,” respectively. However, although she hasn’t run out of single to release from Champion, news is out that RuPaul’s new album Glamazon is going to be released in April, right when the third season ends, which can only mean on thing: the lead single from Glamazon will be taped on the last episode. So exciting!

Drag extraordinaire, RuPaul, is set to release her newest dance album in April of 2011 according to a tweet she sent. The album is going to be produced Lucian Piane. This makes the mathematics easy to calculate the the last episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3 will probably include her first single from the album Glamazon and the video will be made on that episode. Exciting news as RuPaul has the tendency to release album that are danceable from start to end. Summer’s going to be good.
The third season to the drama-filled reality series that brought us some of the greatest characters on reality TV is here. RuPaul‘s readying up some shenanigans on this one with 12 queens and more episodes than ever. The queen’s back!
We have to say that we once had a pizza after some clubbing with the one and only Shangela in West Hollywood and we were floored laughing so hard. Love.
Eartha Kitt, Maria Muldaur, Everclear, RuPaul, Kate Ceberano, Taylor Horn ,Shakira, Madonna, Jhene, Macy Gray, Natalie Merchant, Faith Evans, Boney James, The Pussycat Dolls, LeAnn Rimes, Kellie Pickler, Mae West, Paloma Faith and Taylor Swift did it, but no one nailed it like Kylie Minogue.
