The one and only Elton John has had a flower named after him at an “Orchid Conference” in Singapore. The singer, who is a big flower fan, flew out to the country to be honored with the Doritaenopsis Sir Elton John at the 20th World Orchid Conference. “Sir Elton follows in the footsteps of his late pal Diana, Princess of Wales, actor Jackie Chan and former South African leader Nelson Mandela, who have all had blooms named after them at the event.” Click below to see the flower.

A little break…
3As you might have realized. We’ve been a little low on the posts. We’re not slowing down, we are merely on a trip in Indochina. We started in Bali, Indonesia, then Bangkok, Thailand, now we are sitting in a street side cafe in Siem Reap, Cambodia and we are going to end it in Singapore. If we get the time we will post here and there, but keep coming and we should be in full swing on April 5th. Much love from Angkor Wat!

The people have spoken and they would rather move forward, please. If you don’t want to, then stay back.
Ani DiFranco’s “Promiscuity” banned in Singapore
2What a shame! Ani DiFranco’s only live date in Asia ever and she can’t even sing her new songs. Meanwhile, Lil’ Wayne’s “Lollipop” is filling up all the clubs from Sentosa Island to Tantric. Singapore has to liberalize its laws and jump into the 21st century. She is not saying anything obscene by any standards. It’s just her point of view and I fully agree.
