Everyone favorite rock band R.E.M. have announced today that they have split up after 21 years together. The band has lost a member in the middle of their height but continued on to release several album. So, it comes as surprise that the band has finally called it a day! The announcement comes a couple of weeks before the release of their new greatest hits album, which makes you wonder. It’s the end of R.E.M. as we know them!

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have split
Montag’s rep has affirmed on CNN that she and Spencer have called it quits “Heidi is looking to move out due to all the fake bad press that Spencer controls. She’s tired of it and is looking for a place and wants to focus on her acting career. Heidi wants to take a time away from her husband of almost two years, Spencer Pratt.”
Girls Aloud to allegedly continue without Nadine Coyle

News around the blogosphere today is that Girls Aloud are considering to continue with a new album without the most beautiful one of them all Nadine Coyle. Some rumors have circulated that Nadine has not made her album in time for the “end of 2010″ get together for another Girls Aloud album. But, there is no other evidence. Although Kimberley Walsh has insinuated that Nadine is responsible for the group’s hold up, which was later refuted by Nadine herself via Twitter. Why should the worst voice in the band get to release and album and not the best? Give her some time she is working with William Orbit.
Nicole Scherzinger explains Pussycat Dolls breakup
2The lead singer and lead trouble maker Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls has broken her silence on the issue of the breakup. Apparently, she’s the only standing member of the group, which is not a surprise since she gave everyone hell. We don’t think everyone wanted to do solo projects, we think she bitched every single one of them out. The Pussycat Dolls without Melody Thornton is like the Spice Girls without Geri. Or something like that.
Beyonce’s parents get divorced

The Knowles have filed for a divorce mainly from Tina’s side. A couple of months back a woman filed a paternity suit against Mathew Knowles, but we still don’t know if that’s the reason why the House of Dereon is in shambles. Kelly Rowland left him, now Tina Knowles. No word on Beyonce’s reaction and/or Solange’s. The two have allegedly had a tumultuous couple of months that ended in this Texas divorce.
Pussycat Dolls are allegedly splitting for good
The evil is out, apparently. Scherzinger has allegedly gone an done it. The rumor has it that the split is imminent and everyone is waiting for the official announcement of Pussycat Dolls splitting or breaking up or kicking a bunch of people out. Nicole just can’t handle the fact that some of the dolls are better and more talented than her. Now, none of the other Dolls speak to her. Team Melody!
Joss Stone admits to smoking weed, gets flack for it
Joss Stone recently sat down with Britain’s Star magazine and talked about her relationship with ganja. She basically said she had a spliff or two. Now anti drug group are all up in her George Foreman. Her’s what she said: “I smoke weed, but I don’t think it’s really a drug. It’s more an herb. I don’t regret saying that at all. I think everyone smokes weed and people who say they don’t are lying! Weed has been given this evil stamp, but how is it dangerous? It’s going to make you laugh your a** off? You might go to sleep? I think alcohol is much more harmful.”
We agree with her, but she needn’t vilify the alcohol! Anyway, anyone that is anti-marijuana better chill and sit back. Who in the hell outlaws a plant? It’s a plant! And it’s been around for ages and will not go away. We don’t ever remember ever hearing someone overdosing on the weed. These people should get their facts straight and then enjoy a joint.
Toni Braxton gets a divorce!
After 8 years of being with her husband Keri Lewis of Mint Condition, Toni Braxton might be heading to the divorce courts. The split has been announced today. The couple have two children together. Let’s hope that this incident doesn’t bring in some more album delays, because it has been way too long.
Steven Tyler quits Aerosmith!

Big-mouth Bostonian rockstar Steven Tyler (father of Liv) has unexpectedly quit his band Aerosmith. The band, which is credited to be one of the longest living bands still together, have reportedly not heard from Steven in a while and he refused to get in touch with them. No word yet on if its a hiatus of an indefinite split.
Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter allegedly split

The news in the blogosphere is that hot-shot lesbian power couple Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter have allegedly split. The rumor has it that after a five year marriage they are no longer and Kelli has moved out of the house. Also, some people have explained that Rosie had no clue Kelli had a facebook page. In this day and age, that could spark a fight. Of course this all could be lies as the two have a bunch of kids and it hard to believe, but that is the rumor mill.
A-Ha have split after 25 years together…
Norwegian synth-pop band A-ha known mostly for the penciled-in video for the song “Take On Me” have split. The band have kept releasing albums for a while and have achieved some moderate success in parts of Europe. They have just released an album titled Foot Of The Mountain and seemed to be going strong. Here’s their statement:
“With the current album ‘Foot of The Mountain’ enjoying both commercial success and critical acclaim, A-ha has decided to call it a day… We’ve literally lived the ultimate boy’s adventure tale, through a longer, more rewarding career than anyone could hope for. Doing this now will give us a chance to get more involved in other meaningful aspects of life, be it humanitarian work, politics, or whatever else – and of course through new constellations in the field of art and music. We are retiring as a band, not as individuals. Change is always difficult and It is easy to get set in one’s ways. Now it is time to move on.”
Mutya doesn’t think the Sugababes broke up

You heard it right, the Sugababes have split up again. Amelle Berrabah has left the trio into a duo. After only two full-length albums. That’s sad, but I always thought she was the bad apple. But, then again the only constant member of the group is Keisha Buchanan, so she must be a little shit-starter.
This happened only a couple of weeks before the new album release. That sucks for them. But, they found a replacement. Eurovision loser Jade Ewen. Yes, her. She will be the new Sugababe. Seriously, who does Amelle Berrabah think she is? Leaving Heidi and Keisha all alone right before Sweet 7.
Some correct me, but I recollect that the group once said that if there was another change to the line-up, then that’ll be the end of Sugababes.
Oasis have broken up

Oasis have split. Yes, it’s yet another fight between the Gallagher brothers. This time Liam (always the shit-starter) allegedly insinuated that Noel’s daughter Anais wasn’t his spawn. So Noel picked up and left. But this is just the fodder. The real news is that Oasis haven’t released anything substational since “D’Ya Know What I Mean” and are, therefore, irrelevant in these times. Also, Liam sure talks a lot of shit for someone with a horrid voice fronting Oasis. Noel is the one that writes the everything and he is the reason why they are a household name. Can’t wait to see Liam squirm when Noel releases his solo material.
Frankie Sandford leaves the Saturdays
2The rumors have been circulating non-stop and it’s one of the most searched phrases on my blog today. Many think that the sudden slowing-down of public appearances meant that some sort of girl band break up happened. And this is really bad news coming in the time of the Girls Aloud abrupt hiatus. But, Frankie was always the best one and in this last performance on T4 she doesn’t even look like her. Is that a wig? Or is that a new girl? I am not quite sure about the news / rumors, but it’s worth the mention. You might have to click out for the actual video. But, no she has not officially left yet.
Kelis has filed for divorce
News has just come in that Kelis has filed for divorce. The songstress has had enough of Nas and is leaving him now even when she is 7-months pregnant. I always thought they were a great couple. It turns out that they head-butted too much. Now, Kelis can you go into the studio and do something?
Did Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson split?

Reports are surfacing that Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan have allegedly split. I guess Lindsay’s lesbian stint is over. Apparently, Lindsay Lohan tried to enter a club where Ronson was DJing and the guards would not let her in. This was a request from Samantha Ronson. So, Ronson dumped her I am guessing. Or was she trying to reconcile. I have no clue. Now Lindsay releases a statement that they broke up. She must want her revenge or something. Love is suffering. I don’t know how Lohan will be as hetero again. Boring, maybe.
Girls Aloud sign on for three more albums…
Glad to hear that now that they finally established themselves as a great pop act with a big catalogue. I think that all those breakup are rumors are coming about because people don’t expect a girl band to stick together and have so many consecutive hits. How many pop girl bands do you know that have not split or changed members in that span of time? I am looking forward to the Out Of Control tour.
