Jamiroquai to release new album “Rock, Dust, Light, Star”

1

The pioneers for Acid Jazz are back after a five year hiatus that left us all bitter. Jamiroquai are about to return with a new album slated for a release later this year. It’s called Rock, Dust, Light, Star and is supposed to bring back their soulful beats to the forefront of pop. “According to the group’s website, they will be releasing a new album, Rock, Dust, Light, Star, in November 2010 on Mercury Records. While the group can be considered a major influencer in ushering in the current popularity of dance/electro funk music, the group promises a new sound. “Everything on the record is live. It’s a real band record. The last, album–fantastic–but the whole thing became a little sterile. This time we’ve captured the flow of our live performances,” Jay Kay says.” – SoulBounce

Cheryl Cole’s marriage is allegedly in shambles

1

The Daily Star that footballer’s wife and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole’s marriage is on the rocks because of an alleged infidelity with a blonde girl. Ashely Cole is has been her husband for a while now and, even as the media reports otherwise, they have managed to stick together. But, if they break up, she will change her name to Cheryl Tweedy. Not as smooth, but kinda cool. We love 3 Words by Cheryl Tweedy.

Legendary: “Northern Star” by Melanie C

Being in the Spice Girls turned out to be more of a curse and blessing to Melanie C’s solo career. The Sporty one is responsible for penning some great pop songs in our time, but she never got the credit she deserves because of her spicy past. This track is from her debut album of the same name and is pure bliss.

Lady GaGa speaks at The National Equality March

You know, being a gay icons really pays off. You get to have the most loyal fanbase in the pop world ever. And we don’t want to say that Lady GaGa is doing it merely for the publicity. But, the speech was weak and the she really did not say that much. Surely, she came out of gay clubs and she herself looks inspired from drag queens like no other person, but, still, she could have written a better speech and made a better point. At any rate, We are not going to hate because she is doing the job that Madonna should be doing.

The news just in is that film actor Patrick Swayze has passed away at 57. The star lost his battle to pancreatic cancer today. He was diagnosed January 2008 with the disease. The Dirty Dancing icon previously explained that his smoking habit probably had to do something with it. He was hospitalized for pneumonia and thought to only have a few days to live. He survived a couple of month until his passing today. Watching To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar will never be the same again.

Finally, some news from the Robbie Williams camp. He is finishing up an album titled Reality Killed The Radio Star which is slated for an October release. This will be preceded by a singles titled “Bodies.” The rumors that he’d join Take That again scared me as his brand of britpop is like no other and completely surpasses that M.O.R. / Adult Contemporary bull crap they now do. Good to here from him and let’s hope the whole album is as good as all his previous efforts.

Must-Watch: Video: “Jealous Of My Boogie” by RuPaul

2

NSFW. Extremely low budget, yet very fun. Apparantly Ru was inspired by Japanese juxtaposition video. Its “the techno mash-up phenomenon currently sweeping Japan, whereby kids are splicing old gay porno footage of Billy Herrington with mad Japanese graphics, plus the occasional baby head to cover any exposed goodies.”
