Sugababes working on new album!
After the failure of their last album with the new lineup, Sugababes are back in the study to redeem whatever integrity they have left without the original members. This is their make or break album. They could disappear after this. Because the last one was such a disaster and it was ironically titled Sweet 7.

Cross-legged chairs…
6Russian designers from the Tsesler & Voichenko studio have come up with this concept idea for chairs. It’s a chair that has crossed it’s legs. Not only are they a novel idea, but they add a demure nonchalance to the feng shui of the room. Check out their website here.
Kylie Minogue teams up with Jake Shears and Calvin Harris in the studio
Yes, that is the one and only true queen of pop Kylie Minogue in the studio with Calvin Harris and Scissor Sisters front gay Jake Shears. They are doing some sort of collaboration that is bound to tantalize and eroticize. Last time Shears and Kylie did something together they released the greatest song never released (I am still crying there is no studio version for “White Diamonds”). And the last time Calvin Harris worked with Kyles was on X, where he produced the worst song on the album (“Heart Beat Rock”) and the best song on the album (“In My Arms”). I can’t wait to see what they have been up to.
Sheryl Crows sells entire catalogue for $10 million
One of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time (and holder of the #1 position in Loft965.com’s year-end album charts for 2008) has decided to sell her entire impressive catalogue from 1993′s Tuesday Night Music Club to 2008′s Detours to a London/Dublin- based company called Variety – S1 Songs Group. This will encompass all 153 songs that Crow has released in her career and the rights to the next two albums.
Amy Winehouse returns in top form
3Amy Winehouse is done with Blake and ready to take over again. She has recently made a public appearance with The Specials at the V Festival. She sang an old song of theirs from 1979 titled “You’re Wondering Now.” She looked sober and didn’t trip at all or hit a fan. We can’t wait for the new material from Winehouse and her father.
The peacock chair has been invented
Some fresh designer by the name of Dror Benshetrit has decided to ditch conventional materials and start using felt as a replacement to cotton or whatever your sofa has in it. The result is this – the peacock chair. A chair invented to comfort and to dazzle. And if you get it early, it could be a conversational piece, too. It molds and shifts to fit your contours while still looking like the modern masterpiece that it is.
Saudi designer graces the cover of Elle Oriental
4Saudi designer and underground scenester Mohammed Ashi, which we have featured before, is at the start of his sky-rocketing career. He has recently graced the cover of Elle Oriental with his latest in cutting-edge fashion designs and modern masterpieces. His collection is heavily featured in this month’s issue and includes an in-depth article. News is out that Ashi is finalizing his men’s collection now and it’s bound to make some waves once it’s launched.
Mariah Carey delays Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel
3The news is in and it seems that Mariah Carey is delaying her album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel to September 15th. This is sad news to all the lambs in the world. Not only will the Mariah album be delayed 3 weeks but it will also miss the Grammy cut-off date. Furthermore, that week she will be up against Jay-Z, Kid Cudi and Madonna’s Celebration, which, in reality, is not hard to beat. Jay-Z might be tough. Mariah is apparently still in the studio trying to finish off the album as she twitters about it, but, something tells me that the recent dip of “Obsessed” on the charts from #11 to #20 is the reason. She might want to release two singles in time for the album in order to build up the hype for it. At any rate, “It’s Like That” did really poorly on the charts but The Emancipation Of Mimi still managed to be the best selling album of 2005.
Natalie Merchant to return soon
Seems like all the greats are gearing up for the imminent return of Lilith Fair. Not only are there rumors that Sarah McLachlan is hard at work trying to release her next album, but Natalie Merchant, one of our all time favorites, have officially announced that she is working full-time on her next studio album 8 years after her previous offering Motherland.
Saudi designer shocks with extraordinary fashions
4In this region raw talents are a few and far in-between. However, sometimes a gem pops up. Mohammed Ashi has unleashed his new collection upon us, and frankly, we can’t get enough. After graduating from acclaimed fashion schools, working for world-renowned brands and winning Future TV’s Project Fashion, Ashi embarked on his own fashion journey. The product is his latest collection of pieces that are both original in form and cutting-edge in trend. The artist manages to carefully craft his works with modern flair, yet without forgetting the opulence of dress. His colors are muted, yet rich. Each piece is done with intricate care and are never duplicated.
Mariah confirms work on new album
Robyn is working on a new album
2
Robyn has informed Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that she will be starting work on the new album at the start of 2009. She has been promoting this last one for more than two years now. She said she will be working with Kleerup of “With Every Heartbeat” fame. It’s about time to hit the studio.
Mýa returns…
1
Back from under the studio rock, Mýa returns. On first listen, the song is not so bad. It’s definitely better than her previous singles from Moodring or Liberation. The new album’s out the same day as Britney’s. It’s called Sugar & Spice. Notice the fierce metal cage dress in the video.
