Ousted Sugababes member and the last of the originals Keisha Buchanan has taken to the courts to claim the Sugababes name. Yes, one of the original founders and the only one that lasted throughout the career is mad that Amelle Barrebah took the band away from her. Heidi used to be Keisha’s friend but she decided to lay low to keep ahold of her position in the band. Anyway, click here for more info.

Sugababes do “Wear My Kiss” live
Sugababes’ advert for “Sweet 7″
They are swinging it so you would digest the Sugabaes as the legitimate band when all the original band members are no longer there. Honestly, all respect we had for Sugababes from their first pop-woozy album has diminished, and that was a lot. Even with the Supremes one stuck around throughout the whole thing. With Destiny’s Child it was two.

Sugababes new album “Sweet 7″ has leaked for download!
1Sugababes new album has leaked for download all over the internet. It’s way to early and it could mean the end of the babes. We never appreciated the new lineup anyway, so whatever! Click here for more.
Premiere: Video: “Wear My Kiss” by Sugababes
1The full video for the Sugababes 3.0′s third single off of their yet-unreleased album Sweet 7 is here. The album will be around next month and it’s set to feature the new, somewhat bland, line-up of the Sugababes. Let’s hope it has something good to salvage from the wreckage.
Official cover for Sugababes’ single “Wear My Kiss”
Nothing special here. Still haven’t gotten used to the 3.0 line-up as it contains everything mundane and generic about the Sugababes, a band that started with experimental pop and is currently doing producer hand-me-downs. This song is better than some of the rest we’ve been hearing recently. “Get Sexy: was monumental, but Keisha was there. The video for this track is what will give it the right push. Sweet 7 feels like a make-or-break album.
Video preview of Sugababes’ “Wear My Kiss”
This looks exponentially fierce and the direction is great. The sound is sharp and in keeping with the album’s theme, from what we’ve heard of Sweet 7. Amelle is looking like a hot mess, we don’t know if that is because she actually looks it or because we hold her fully responsible for kicking out Keisha. It’s not the Sugababes anymore! Oh, and what the hell are they doing making Jade wear that hairdo because she is the newbie.
Sugababes release “Santa Baby” as single
1OK, so there’s not much to he her but some typeface. But, this single comes at an interesting time when the Sugababes are no longer the originals, Amelle’s getting breakdowns left and right and their album’s been delayed. This single is called a “promo single” and it will be available only as a digital download and will not appear on their upcoming album Sweet 7. The trio are set to release their third official single “Wear My Kiss” on February 1st, 2010. It’ll be hard for them to win us over with this cover as it has been done before by Madonna and Kylie Minogue. But, we’ll see.
Sugababes’ “Sweet 7″ pushed back to 2010
2It hasn’t been a good year for the Sugababes. A drastic shift in the band line-up that rid it from all its original members and bouts of hospitalization led to that. Now, the album Sweet 7 has been pushed back to next year. Not only that but their second single “About A Girl” will be released as intended. Then their third single “Wait Your Turn” will precede the album, which means that there won’t be enough singles to promote the album after the release, because, let’s face it, it is unlikely that they new line-up would have more than three hits under their sleeves.
Official cover for Sugababes’ album “Sweet 7″
1Amelle is still in the hospital for exhaustion or whatever she’s there for. But, the album campaign is still running. This cover is probably their worst. The fire affect in the back and the dresses looks like TopShop threw up on them. They album might have great songs if “Get Sexy” is anything to go by, but, in all honesty, they have lost a whole of credibility with the firing of Keisha Buchanan. They don’t look cohesive enough and Jade Ewen is too cookie-cutter for their edgy image.
Premiere: Video: “About A Girl” by Sugababes
It’s just not the same without Keisha Buchanan. They have become too cookie-cutter. Jade Ewen is too squeaky clean for our liking and we feel the band has jumped the shark now. We never thought that we’d see the day that Amelle Barrabah would take center-stage. Horrid line-up, fun song.
The new Sugababes line-up!

Sugababes leak new single “About A Girl”
1Another song and the supposed second single from Sweet 7 has been leaked. It’s called “About A Girl.” It’s producec by RedOne. Yes, when you thought that Lady Gaga was singing “On red wine…” she was actually saying “RedOne.” Really, who goes clubbing to “Just Dance” on red wine? Anyway, it’s fun and all kinds of poppy. Not their best effort, to say the least. Click below for the song.
Sugababes “Get Sexy” on stage
1You know a real pop band when you hear them get up on a live TV show and perform and uptempo song like that without lip syncing. That’s how it’s done. Anticipation for Sweet 7 is building up and the y deserve it!
Sugababes name album Sweet 7
1The muchly-anticipated album of one of the greatest non-disbanded girl bands has been given a name. Sweet 7 is the 7th Sugababes album. It’s really not that original. Catfights & Spotlights is better. They should have waited for their 17th album for that. Something tells me this will be the last full-length album from them. “Get Sexy” is too great for “common” people, so it won’t perform well even if it’s better than most of the pop songs of this year. Let’s just wait and see there could be a knock-em-down single. But, so far, it’s make-or-break.
Sugababes already on another album, no tour…
1
According to Amelle, Sugababes are apparently going right back to the studio to record another album on the week their second single is released. There will be no tour and they will concentrate on making the next album a hit. The album wasn’t really given a chance by the public. Maybe it was the single choices, the blazé videos, the rushed release, the uninviting cover, or the looming Girls Aloud cloud. In any case, I am sure there are pop gems to discover deep in Catfights & Spotlights.
From DigitalSpy: “Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah has confirmed that the group will be too busy to tour next year.
Working on the last compilation of the year…
8
I am currently putting the final touches to the last new compilation of the year. It’s called Reflect and it is fun pop and lush. Last time I got really heavy and some of the queens didn’t like it. But, it was where I was at. Now I am in party mode again and this is a reflection of my mood and the closing of this year. I won’t be able to post it here, but if you want it email me or comment on here. I just finished the cover, which I like. The track list will follow shortly.
Catfights & Spotlights
The new album cover is just OK. The album title is fun. I have a feeling this is their last album. This feeling comes from no factual evidence, just a mere feeling. Keisha looks good with all that cleavage. The typeface could have been a little different, as the have a history of fun ones but this is just blah. I feel it could have been a single cover. With that album title they could have been under a huge spotlight pulling each other’s hair out. I would have likes that better. Something like Amelle would be pulling Heidi’s extensions while Keisha stands in the back with a baseball bat. In any case, I am bored in the lobby waiting for the car to get me to the airport and I am just babbling on. Oh, souvenir shop… perfect!
