Sheryl Crow performs “Summer Day” live!
Lovely summer song. Still, brings the breezy and the easy.
Donna Summer releases new song “To Paris With Love”
3It’s a bit lounge and jazzy, it sounds like it was made for one of those hotel compilations. But, it’s not. It’s a new single from the legendary diva that attempted a mishmash of contemporary on the badly put-together Crayons and now is going for something easier and more her. We like it. Click below to listen to it.
Video Premiere: “Summer Day” by Sheryl Crow
We have been waiting for this for so long. Sheryl Crow’s back with a great summer offering, we feeling like this album, 100 Miles From Memphis, will be a great marriage between Detours and C’Mon C’Mon. This is just a little breezy ditty that changes our summer days. Yes, we are Sherylphiles!

Sheryl Crow filming the new video for her song “Summer Day”
2Sheryl Crow is putting the final touches to the video of her first single from the new album 100 Miles From Memphis. “Summer Day” is set to be released any day now and it launches the new album, which we are highly anticipating as we are huge fans of Sheryl Crow. Her 2008 album Detours managed to be our favorite album of the year. This album features covers and originals and should have a tint of country twang.

Again: Music For Summer: Splashine
8Summer moved in. Time to splash and shine. This little compilation is a one-off album for the start of summer. It is a synopsis of a playlist we had laying around our iPod for ages that we usually play first thing in the morning when we start the party in South Bnaider Beach. It has a naked beat to it. It’s the kind of record that you can play and dance your feet of to at high volumes, but can also be great background Martini music at low volumes. The album starts off at sunrise and ends at sunset. You see, it’s a concept sonical journey through one great summer’s day. We hope you like this burst of energy and sunshine. Enjoy Splashine!
Summer is here!
It’s Record Store Day…
Today is the day you need to step out of your downloading realm and go out and part with some cash for your favorite beats. Preferably, at an independent record shops who are suffering the most from this slump in sales due to the illegal downloading phenomenon. Not that we have anything against illegal downloading, the record industry has effed with us for so long they don’t have any sympathy from me. But, the indies and a young-ins need some support. So, go out buy a record, check the liner notes, listen to it and dance. Even if it’s from VideoClub, which, by the way, has a great 1KD sale on 90s’ classics you can’t even find on download online!
Legendary: “Summer Son” by Texas
Now, that we are under the equator and retroactively posting this video, we had to give an ode to the changing of seasons. This song, when heard that first gust of summer wind, can change your whole summer. Sharleen Spiteri’s vocals work well with the guitars in this sexy video during Texas’s prime.
Lady GaGa announces US tour dates…
Gaga dates are out for the US, but from the looks of her recent New Zealand date we don’t know if she can go through with this extensive list or if she will delve into Winehouse land. Click below to see the list of dates.
Unconditional’s new collection for men
2Unconditional never cease to amuse us with their designs. Even in a very crowded market with fledgeling designer popping everywhere, they continue to innovate like no other brand. Here are some of the new things we like a lot. For the rest click here.
Again: Music for August: SlinkyPop
12To keep up with the festivities of the summer season we decided to dodge depth and melancholy in favor of sun beats and lush pop. yes, it’s another beach mix filled with pop marvels that are bound to make you dance and strut and do the nasty. Not one track on this compilation is slow, not even towards the end. SlinkyPop is exactly what the name refers to. It’s playful and poppy like the seed. 21 tracks of fun. We hope you like it as it has been playing non-stop at Loft965 headquarters (the chalet hammock).
