Exclusive: Lira to release “When I Dance” as second single!

Lira’s fourth album Return To Love delivers on so many levels. The first single is one of our favorite tracks of the season. After “Phakade” will come “When I Dance.” It’s a lovely uptempo track that ushers in summer moods. We say exclusive because she tweeted us directly. We hope there’s a great breezy video to match.

Björk is working with Syrian singer Omar Souleyman!

Bjork is not one to stay to one or two genres for her releases, but this time around her pick for a collaborator is an unlikely musician from this part of the world. The Icelandic singer has opted to work with Syrian singer Omar Souleyman, Pitchfork has confirmed. Apparently, this will be “the first ever major Western pop release to feature Syrian dabke and Iraqi choubi music.”

The case of Obama and Iran

There has yet to be a consensus on the whole Iran issue and it seems that Obama’s hand is still outstretched for some sort of compromise not only because that would be the wise thing to do after Bush’s waging of two unlawful wars, but also because, frankly, the US can’t afford an all out debacle with Iran right about now. The Iranian government have a choice of accepting this sort-of-truce or retreating.
