Lady GaGa managed to bag all the awards given to international artists at the Brits. That is, except for the Best International Male, which went to Jay-Z. But, had she had some peen, she would have probably gotten that sexist award. Anyway, she deserved every bit and looked like a glamazon receiving them.

The typography and design for the campaign of her debut album hasn’t been bad at all. This is quite simple and cute. Now, the music is another thing!

Record companies will try anything these days to sell you their product in this dwindling music industry. Cheryl Cole’s new album is coming as a limited edition, too. The package will have a bag and a calendar, an LP and other things. It’s apparently the “fan version.” No word on how much that will sell, but since she’s not touring, why not put the merchandise with the album and then ask for a higher price? Three Words sounds like it will be a disaster!

Britney Spears has become the first artist in 3 years to debut in the top spot in the Billboard Charts. Moreover, “3″ is Britney’s third number one single. Do you see how everything comes in threes? She deserves it. She’s been pumping out some great pop tunes as of late. And “3″ is pretty good track.

She’s working the promo hard for this new album, even as her first single is not recieving the ruckus that she had hoped for because, let’s face it, it’s not that special. Anyway, the album might have some other nice tracks.

Britney Spears reveals box design and cover of the Singles Collection
The singles collection will contain just that – the entire singles collection in their original artwork in sleeves. Every single single Britney has released will be in that box. A smart move considering that this offering is about the packaging more than the content. So, there won’t be illegal downloading because the tracks are already available, the real draw in the package.
Robbie Williams recently did that and it went over well. But, he has quiet an impressive b-side catalogue so that could be a factor in fans purchasing. But, Britney’s fans will undoubtedly dish out the amount for such a ordeal. Good job!

It’s actually quite nice. Have yet to hear the song, but the artwork is an improvement from a person who has constantly given us some of the worst sleeves in pop history.
Britney Spears to release next single titled “3″
“3″ is Britney’s next single. It is set to be released as the lead single from her upcoming second greatest hits compilation, “The Singles Collection”. It was officially confirmed via Spears’ official website on September 23, 2009 that the song will be released to U.S. radio on September 29, 2009.

News around the British pop blogs is that this is the new cover for Cheryl Cole’s rushed debut album Three Words. We don’t think this is the case. Why? Well, because it’s too good and vague to be her album cover. It’s too Lykke Li. Cheryl would do something more commercial and text-heavy. We would be surprised if it was. Glad to hear that now that they finally established themselves as a great pop act with a big catalogue. I think that all those breakup are rumors are coming about because people don’t expect a girl band to stick together and have so many consecutive hits. How many pop girl bands do you know that have not split or changed members in that span of time? I am looking forward to the Out Of Control tour.
