The Sisters With Voices (aka SWV) are back to bring their great sound to the new decade. Yes, the have been gone for a while, but the voices behind “So Weak” and “Right Here” are ready to take on a different market. The buzz single is called “Co-Sign.” Most bands of the same ilk, like En Vogue and TLC, failed to deliver, but let’s hope they will crack the market this time. The album’s called I Miss Us and its slated for an April 10th release!
TLC (T-Boz and Chilli) have reunited for a hot minute after a 7-year gap to perform at Justin Timberlake’s concert in Las Vegas. The twosome came out in full force to sing some of their biggest numbers including “No Scrubs,” “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg” and “What About Your Friends?” There are no rumors of a reunion, but the two did it as a favor for Justin Timberlake. The show, benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children, also featured sets from Alicia Keys, Ciara, Snoop Dogg, Taylor Swift, Jay Sean, and Timbaland.
Koch records is releasing former TLC bandmate, Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes’s second album that she recorded before she died in a fatal car crash in Honduras. It’s called Eye Legacy and I hope the work on it to make it timely and something Lopes would be proud of. I see they have given the cover some effort, I hope the music too.
The album will feature Tupac Shakur, Lil Mama,Chamillionaire, Missy Elliott, TLC, Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, Free, Bobby Valentino, and Left Eye’s sister, Reigndrop Lopes. I can’t wait for the single and video.
