“Days before the Aug. 7 deadline, Haitian-American superstar Wyclef Jean has confirmed toTime.com that he will run for President of Haiti in this year’s Nov. 28 election. “If not for the earthquake, I probably would have waited another 10 years before doing this,” Jean said. “If I can’t take five years out to serve my country as President…then everything I’ve been singing about, like equal rights, doesn’t mean anything.” Jean may announce his candidacy on Thursday’s Larry King Live once he has arrived in Port-au-Prince from New York.” – EW.com
Cheryl Cole’s malaria worsening!
According to English newspapers, Cheryl Cole has allegedly been moved to a specialized hospital for the treatment of malaria that she has, also allegedly, contracted while on vacation in Tanzania. When we were in Madagascar we were told that if the symptoms did not subside after 1 day of treatment then the vital organs are in big trouble, which, as bad as it sounds, would mean that Cheryl Cole’s second album that was supposed to be released sometime is August will be postponed. Sad news for the pop world, both on the charts and on the popstrel’s life. Anyway, click here for more about the situation.
