File under unexpected tours, the two pop powerhouses Kelis and Robyn are going to tour together. We are totally loving Kelis’s new album Fleshtone and Robyn’s Body Talk PT1, we also love most of their previous albums. So we are mucho excited about this collabo. It will be one big dance-a-thon!
Madonna to work with Jason Derulo
New is out that Jason Derulo is working with Madonna on her next album. This makes us sad as it is an indicator that Madonna is still money-grubbing and trying to do anything that will land her on airwaves even if it is a bunch of old bull like her previous album Hard Candy. She can’t do R&B or hip hop. She should stick to what made her famous – dance music. Anyway, why is she working with Jason Derulo? His biggest hit was only a result of him sampling of an Imogen Heap track. But, if you don’t know Imogen it could sound fresh to you. Sad news!

Neosoul greats Jill Scott and Maxwell are joining forces for a 20-date tour around North America. The tour is set to highlight the best of their future album (Maxwell’s blackSUMMER’Snight and Jill Scott’s Words & Sounds Vol. 4: Light Of The Sun). The tour is probably the second most anticipated tour of the year for us after the resurgence of Lilith Fair. We are excited!

Rumors are afloat that pop starlet Jessica Simpson had something to do with Tiger Woods. Allegedly, Tiger Woods came onto her and then she responed or something or anything to sell magazines. We haven’t really reported on Tiger Woods. First, because he really doesnt factor into our lives at all. Second, because we don’t like golf. And third, marriage is a social institutionalization that puts barriers where there aren’t any. At any rate, this is the word on the blogosphere. Thanks to PopBytes for the cover. Mariah Carey’s sales over at the UK haven’t been doing so great. She has recently announced that she is working again with aging pop band Westlife. The last time she worked with them was with her last number one single in the UK – a cover of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now).” She hoping to revive Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel with the now-foursome even though they don’t have as much clout as they used to. What could it be? A re-do of “Angels Cry?” That’s the only thing from the album that would work and is not already released.

This is called sexual re-appropriation and hits bandwagoning. Yes, it’s all that rolled into one. The rumor around the blogosphere is the Rihanna Fenty, Chris Brown’s former, is now allegedly dating none other than Justin Timberlake. Jessica Beil must be furious. We have a feeling that it isn’t true because Timberlake has a history of dating girls so white you could see their veins, even when he claims that he wants to date a “sister.” At any rate, they’d make a cute couple of sorts. Maybe some good music can come out of it.

When we first heard about Madonna introducing Janet Jackson we were surprised, as the two divas have had a long-standing animosity between them throughout their divadom. In fact, Janet once called Madonna classless. Look up “diss” and their names on youtube and you will see a myriad of videos.

It’s very smart of People magazine to pull something like this out. I mean, when the news of MJ is old and there is nothing around, why not bring together one of TV’s most famous gangs and go an expose on them? They haven’t changed that much and they all look good, still. Mario Lopez is still in the spotlight. The rest, no so much. Still, Elizabeth Berkeley’s Showgirls is one of the greatest movies ever.
Girls Aloud to take a hiatus

Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud has just confirmed that the girls are taking a group hiatus in order to pursue personal aspirations. This comes after the announcement of a multi-album deal with their record label. Both Nadine Coyle and Cheryl Cole have confirmed that they are going to work of solo material that might saunter it’s way to us in 2010, while Sarah Harding is getting the acting bug and some roles to go along with it. No word on Kimberly or the ugly one yet, but the latter one might continue her work on her make up line. Make it thick, honey.

I can’t believe this grown old gay man is singing this horrid little heterocentric song. I mean it’s nice to see him on stage with the bouncey but not with that song. “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” would have been better.
En Vogue have reunited
The funky divas of the 90s’ – En Vogue – are back together. This is the newest promo photo for their new venture. No more three-legged neosoul, or bitch-slap servings from Dawn Robinson. The foursome, as we have come to know them and love them, are back and even a Terry Ellis album can’t break them apart. They are doing some obscure festival dates to test their selves out and then pacing an album together. The still look sexual and healthy and weave-y. I can’t wait for their comeback. Now, we have to wait for For Real and Zhané (pronounced Ja-Nay).
