Check out Indian Idol!

3

Now this is a show we would watch. The makers of American Idol have captured a bigger market than the American one and now are concentrating on making this runaway phenomenon a success that they are forgetting about American Idol. “Over a hundred million viewers in Asia await the results of an Indian Idol today. Maybe the folks at American Idol are too busy with a bigger market. Could our Idol judging selection being put on the back burner? Maybe we will have the indian dudes takes over for Simon Cowell,” asserted Lady Obama.

Tyra Sanchez wins RuPaul’s Drag Race!

21

The end has come when no one has to lip sync for their life. Tyra Sanchez has taken the crown for the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and it ain’t pretty. Many people are fuming mad on Twitter exclaiming their reaction to the win. Many wanted JujuBee to win and some think Raven deserved it. We personally think the contestants of the season were mostly not that great. Anyway, Tyra Sanchez is the queen for now until the next season and everyone knows that Jujubee will get the “Miss Congeniality” award. Let’s just hope that Tyra Sanchez doesn’t attempt to release a single with that voice of hers.

Joe McElderry wins X-Factor

5

Joe McElderry is the winner of the sixth series of X-Factor and Cheryl Cole’s second champion. Joe McElderry’s first song in the final, the theme being songs the contestants sang in their audition, was Luther Vandross’s “Dance With My Father,” the song he sung in his audition for the show. His second song of the night, was a duet with George Michael of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” which was a duet with Elton John. His third song was “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word”, which he had sung at the judges houses stage and the eighth live show. During his performances, Dannii Minogue dubbed McElderry a “brilliant performer”, and Simon Cowell said that he is “really special”. McElderry secured his place in Sunday night’s final after winning the public vote alongside Olly Murs. Stacey Solomon narrowly missed out in a place despite giving her most confident performances of the whole series. They both performed the winner’s song “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus in Sunday night’s final. This probably means that this will be his first single. McElderry was backed by Louis Walsh to win the competition.

Ellie Goulding wins a Brit Award

We introduced Ellie Goulding back in July and then featured her music on compilations and on here.  Well, she has gone and won the Brit award that is designed to propel lesser known new artists to great heights. This is the third year this award has been presented and previous winners are Florence + The Machine and Adele, so you know what kind of impact this has. We like her songs “Gun + Horses,” “Under The Sheets” and especially “Starry Eyed.” No word yet on when her album will debut. But, you can check her official page or MySpace profile.

And the American Idol winner is… Kris Allen

3

Not that I care, really. It’s just that I had hope Adam Lambert would make some kind of change from the cookie-cutter squeaky clean contestants on the show. But, I think he was too queeny for the US, especially the voting US. They just wouldn’t let it happen and that made the blandest of the bland the winner. He might change. But right now he is just another dud with an exceptionally pretty face.

Alexander Rybak wins Eurovision for Norway

3

img650x367

After a long and winding road down the Eurovision Song Contest selection process. The Norwegian, Alexander Rybak, won by a mile.  He was the favorite and his song was as good as it gets for ESC. The votes came in and Norway was constantly at the top of the game. Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iceland and the United Kingdom were close but didn’t quite make it to the same ranks. The singer’s set to take the world by storm. Looking forward to the Oslo show next year.
