When the Scissor Sisters first came out there was no one like them. They took 2005 by storm and pushed rock music back to glam. They’re beats were fresh and dance-worthy. Now, we get to settle for this. A song that sounds like a b-side from The Killers last’s album sessions. You’d expect a robust dance anthem, but no. We hope there are great tracks on Night Work, otherwise we are not buying it.

The Scissor Sisters are ready to grace us with their third full-length album Night Work. After a minor sophomore slump with Ta-Dah, the filthy, yet gorgeous band is back with this sleazily appropriate album cover of what looks like Jake Shear’s clenched bum. It’s not always clenched you see, so it’s a special occasion, we mean that as the highest of compliments. Really. Anyway, the album is bound to have some nasty beats and unforgettable taglines. Nadine Coyle just celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with her beau in her Irish pub in Los Angeles names Irish Mist. But, she’s still hard at work on her debut album and, not only is she working with Boyz II Men, but she is also working with the guy who spearheaded Madonna and All Saints’ careers – William Orbit. Orbit just tweeted that his dinner with Nadine Coyle was not just a gathering but a business meeting. We can’t wait to hear the result and hope it is a complete new sound, because Nadine’s debut album is such a great vehicle for him to reclaim his status as a pioneer producer.
High off of the heels of making a Madonna episode that has yet to be aired, the makers of Glee allegedly are in works with Gaga to do an episode dedicated to her music. That is probably the only episode we will watch!

Marina + The Diamonds is set on breaking the world in 2010. The music is ballast, the video is good and the artwork is consistently pretty. This looks like it’s going to be a good year for her.

M.I.A. is working on her album despite being busy with Christina Aguilera’s. The rapper is working with Diplo and Switch mainly, but also has other producers. Diplo has already done 2 tracks with her. The album’s set to be her third after Arular and Kala. Everything she touches turns into gold, so we are not doubting the result. Diplo says that the songs are a cross between Animal Collective and Gucci Mane, which is very interesting if anything.
This wasn’t expected at all. Adam Lambert has gone and created one of the fiercest covers of the year. For Your Entertainment is the 2nd place American Idol’s debut album. This is the cover for it and it is reminiscent of 80s’ androgyny. It’s like something Toya would do. The colors are exuberant and he almost looks feline. The question is: how will this cover go on Wal-Mart stands.
We previously reported and posted the video for Lindsay Lohan’s Ungaro debut. It turns out that allegedly Lindsay had very little to do with the designing. She was flown over and put in a hotel. Other than that she was given 100,000 to spend on Ungaro clothing. Yes, she got store credit for this gig!
On top of that, she has been dropped by her record label Casablanca Records. She no longer has a deal with them, which means that “Bossy” will not be tacked onto an album. Moreover, the album, which was set to be a fusion of some Kylie and some Rihanna, is probably abandoned. It’s not looking good for the Lohan!
This is probably one of the most special these we have had to announce / talk about. When we first heard about Madonna introducing Janet Jackson we were surprised, as the two divas have had a long-standing animosity between them throughout their divadom. In fact, Janet once called Madonna classless. Look up “diss” and their names on youtube and you will see a myriad of videos.
This new concept is a white-collar dream. It’s an office tie that doubles as a bottle-opener. For when you leave work and grab a six-pack. Or if, like me, you drink while on the job. Check it.
