Leona Lewis covers Oasis’s “Stop Crying Your Heart Out”

1

Leona Lewis visited X-Factor to sing her version of Oasis’s “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” from their album Heathen Chemistry and her album Echo. The song is one of the best considering the balderdash on the album. This comes as a surprise because Noel Gallagher himself has criticized Leona Lewis for covering Snow Patrol’s “Run” last year. Maybe the money’s good now that Oasis are no longer?

Joe McElderry wins X-Factor

5

Joe McElderry is the winner of the sixth series of X-Factor and Cheryl Cole’s second champion. Joe McElderry’s first song in the final, the theme being songs the contestants sang in their audition, was Luther Vandross’s “Dance With My Father,” the song he sung in his audition for the show. His second song of the night, was a duet with George Michael of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” which was a duet with Elton John. His third song was “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word”, which he had sung at the judges houses stage and the eighth live show. During his performances, Dannii Minogue dubbed McElderry a “brilliant performer”, and Simon Cowell said that he is “really special”. McElderry secured his place in Sunday night’s final after winning the public vote alongside Olly Murs. Stacey Solomon narrowly missed out in a place despite giving her most confident performances of the whole series. They both performed the winner’s song “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus in Sunday night’s final. This probably means that this will be his first single. McElderry was backed by Louis Walsh to win the competition.

Obama ecstasy pills seized!

The po-po stopped some guy in the street and found a bunch of party favors in the backseat. The drugs included ecstasy pills that are shaped like Obama’s head (pictured above). The MDMA must be high on these if Obama is on them. The old happy face ones were potent, so this must be good poison.

Mariah Carey performs on Italian X-Factor

Mariah Carey is doing Europe for a while because her album Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel will be out there now. Contrary to what many critics would say, the voice is very much still there. But, she needs to lay “I Want To Know What Love Is” to rest now and concentrate on something like our favorite “Standing O” or “H.A.T.E.U.”

Whitney Houston does X-Factor, crazily!

Is she back on the crack? Or is it still whack? She was all over the place with this performance of “Million Dollar Bill.” We’re glad she’s finally back, but can she sing instead of speaking the words. We know she still has it, but does she have it live?

Sophie Ellis-Bextor to make a return

Our favorite hyphenated disco diva (other than Olivia Newton-John, of course) is bound to bring the beat back with her comeback. She is one of the artists the peaks with the debut single (in her case the collaboration with Spiller) and then everything is downhill from there, even though there are some recoverable gems along the way.

Breezy beats from South Africa by Lira…

2

I stumbled upon a great artist. Her album is only available in South Africa. I managed to get it. I think its grand. It’s “Ixesha” by Lira. The “x” is Zulu makes that sexy clicking sound. It’s what happens when Miguel Migs marries Corrine Bailey Rae. Feel Good is set to be out internationally, I don’t know when.
